Iida's pov: I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock, which was 3 or 4 feet away from my bed, placed in the perfect distance to keep any lazy intentions at bay. Where was I, though? This wasn't my room, though it could've been convincing if it weren't for the difference in the shape and wallpaper. Oh, right, I was in the new dorms that were set up. What day was it? I looked at my calendar and noticed it was break. Thank god. I would never admit this out loud, but I don't like going to class. I'm not lazy like the so called "Bakusquad" (other than Bakugou, he's too determined to ever be lazy) and I like the work since it gives me something to do, though it's very simple, I just don't enjoy the fact that none of my fellow students obey or respect the rules. True, I'd only put this on myself and therefore it's my responsibility to carry out this honor, but it can be exhausting when one puts one's effort into something with no results.

Did that really matter right now, though? After all, I still had to get ready for the day and get an early start so I didn't slack off. But, a good 30 extra minutes did sound good... NO! It's not heroic to be indifferent to my responsibility to get up at a reasonable time! My phone buzzed suddenly on the bedside table, so I got up to get it. It was just an angry text from my "dorm neighbor" (as Denki had named it the moment we got here) telling me not to leave my alarm on so early, so I dismissed it and turned off the alarm. I must've been to wrapped up in my thoughts to notice it was still going. How on earth did I miss that? I specifically set it to a louder setting to keep that sort of thing from happening or to keep myself from dozing off again or sleeping through it. It should've kept me from "zoning out" like that, right?

Keep focused, Tenya. Get ready, get out, get working. Right, good scheduling can't go to waste. I went to the bathroom and simultaneously combed my hair and brushed by teeth, not wanting to waste any time as I peered at my reflection. It was, of course, practically spotless, though that might've been just my lack of glasses at the time. I mean, who could leave their appearance to waste if they had a whole day ahead of them? The others surely had no idea how important their image was, did they? Would I have to beat it into their skulls for them to understand it at this point? But at the same time, would that even work if they don't pay any mind to what I say? No, they listen and pay attention, they know what I have to say is important! They're just more unruly, right, they've never been taught how to behave well. Then again, I slip up just as much as they can, I'm not perfect, no one is. But that is why I'm good for this job, because I can understand I'm not above the rules, so I try to obey the rules while guiding the others to the same destination. It's a good thing Momo is also there, or else I might lose my mind, she's one of the only normal students here, though I can't say much. Oh, wonderful. I was so focused on my thoughts that I hadn't even realized I was brushing my teeth too hard and combing my hair too roughly. Now my gums were bleeding and my scalp was scratched. Oh well, it's not like time can't heal it, right. I cleaned up and got myself dressed for the day before exiting my room.

Denki's pov: Aww man, I could hear someone's alarm from practically a mile away! I couldn't sleep, and now I'm stuck eating the gross cereal the class rep replaced the Fruity Pebbles with. Ugh, gross, and all because Mina couldn't keep her dumb mouth shut about it just because she wanted to make a joke. The joke was funny and she's really cool and all, but like, dude, I want my Fruity Pebbles back. The look on Todoroki's face when Mina told him that he and the cereal had something in common was priceless. It was like he stopped working! Of course, he thought she was saying something only he'd know, but it's still kinda funny he reacted like that. He do be kinda fruity tho.... hmmmmmmm. Someone walked down the stairs and into the room as I was eating it, and as soon as I saw the face, I already knew I was in for a lecture. Again. Great.

"Good morning Denki, did you sleep well?" Iida said, clearly not knowing he shouldn't be the sound of a freight train that's late for its station at this kind of time.

"I mean I would've had someone's alarm not been keeping me from sleeping," I joked. His face seemed to falter for a moment and I realized, "wait, that was your alarm? My bad dude, didn't know."

Iida replied quickly, as if he'd almost expected this to happen or something, dude must have every scenario in his head at all times or somethin', "Yes, Denki, it was my alarm. Don't worry though, you didn't offend me in any way. You didn't brush your hair and you're still in your sleepwear, why didn't you get ready for the day?"

"I dunno, maybe because I get up at a normal time instead of this demonic time!" I joked again. "If we were up any earlier, I doubt it wouldn't summon the devil!" Iida, of course, took it literally.

"Are you sure about that, Denki? I highly doubt it could summon the devil. As for the time issue, time is not an excuse to not get ready!" He did his karate'style chop, almost as if he were trying not to break my skull open to shove his information in more forcefully. "You need to get ready for your day in order to feel more ready for your day and make a habit out of it so it's not as much of a chore! You should have learned this a long time ago!"

I sighed, "Geez, 'teach', you're really throwing it into high gear, aren'tcha? First you take my cereal and now you lecture me at tHe WiTcHiNg HoUr or somethin', gimme a break!" He let out a breath slowly, almost as if to not give away he was breathing. Dafuq- anyways, "If you didn't lecture everyone all the time, maybe they'd have the energy to put up with our day instead of lose our energy at the beginning of the day listening to you ramble on and on, y'know? Not trynna burst your bubble or anything, but dang dude, chill."

He went to adjust his missing glasses, obviously resulting in his hand awkwardly bumping into his face then lowering again, and spoke in a slightly softer tone, "Right, of course. Thank you for your constructive criticism, Denki, I'll keep it in mind." He then walked to the kitchen to prepare some breakfast for himself and the others who're waking up at a decent time. Did I go too far? Nah, he didn't seem bothered by it, he had the same tone and everything, he just kept it down. Maybe that's all we needed to do to keep him in check too? Now that I think about it, it's probably how he learns, since he beats it into us that way. Huh, who knew?
