Chapter 33

"Hyung, what happened?"

Yeonjun scanned Taehyun's state. It was clear that the guy was crying but he just shrugged it off thinking Taehyun won't give a fuck on him.

"I'm not sure Tae... I do—"

"Taehyun!" Yeonjun was cut off by Beomgyu's mom who came running to Taehyun.

"B-beomgyu... he's c-critical. Taehyun, I don't know what to do. My son. I can't lose him." He cried out on Taehyun's embrace and the boy comforted her but couldn't feel anything.

Taehyun feel numb. He was confused, a lot of unanswered questions were lingering on his mind but he was scared to ask. No, he wasn't scared to ask. He was scared to know what's the answer to all his questions because he knows that it'll never be good.

"Mrs. Choi, p-please tell me. Wha—How is m-my, Gyu?" The boy asked his voice came out shaky as he tried to compose himself.

Beomgyu promised me. No, he'll wake up and he will still watch our performance. There is no way that Beomgyu would break his promise. No matter what is his situation right now, I know he'd come back home to me. Taehyun tried cheering himself up.

He can't let Beomgyu feel that he's weak and that he doesn't trust him. Actually, he trust him too much that it came to the point that Taehyun couldn't feel anything at all. It was like he was masking every single emotion he had to hide it and make Beomgyu feel his trust.

"He's critical. Right a-after the operation he started bleeding. His doctor said it was because the operation was too urgent and Beomgyu's body isn't f-fully conditioned well." She explained still sobbing.

"He l-lost too much blood." Her mother continued and this time it was Yeonjun who was holding her.

Taehyun tried to process everything. He doesn't understand at all but all he knows that he had almost lost Beomgyu again and this was the reason why he started crying as well.

"H-hyung, He... I a—almost lost him again." Taehyun whispered out pained and Yeonjun couldn't help but looked at him worriedly.

"Taehyun, no. Beomgyu is strong and the doctors are trying to revive him right now." Yeonjun tried reaching out for the boy's hand and Taehyun just stood there zoning out with his tears continued to flow.

"What's g-gonna happen after?" He asked once again to the woman who shook her head.

She doesn't have any idea at all. She left his husband to talk to Jennie because he can't bare to listen to whatever is Jennie trying to make them understand. All she knows is that Beomgyu isn't in good state right now and it scared her so much.

"Let's hope for the best. Beomgyu's gonna make it. We all have to be strong." Yeonjun continued to comfort the woman as Taehyun tried to walk to the room where Beomgyu's dad was.

He wiped his tears using his sleeve before entering the room with straight face. Jennie and Beomgyu's father immediately gaze him. They gestured the boy to come closer and Taehyun who was almost floating made his way to their side.

"Tae, are you okay?" Jennie asked him worriedly.

"No noona. I can't be okay right now." He replied honestly and Beomgyu's father just tapped his shoulders as he looked down.

"C-can you explain what's gonna happen to him?" Taehyun's asked Jennie who looked at him sadly.

"They are gonna have to operate him again if the bleeding slows down. We didn't expect that his body is that weak because he hadn't show it to us. It shocked his body, even the anesthesia didn't helped to slow down the bleeding." She explained and Taehyun was intently listening to every bit of it.
