~Flashback~

Gen's familiar laugh rang out, and Jared smiled widely.

"You guys are so mean to him."

"It's not our fault he makes it so easy to mess with him!"

Gen just shook her head, smiling as she took a sip of her drink. Jared had just finished telling her about how he and Jensen had started playing pranks on the new guy, Misha, on set. He was a weird guy who had been cast as the angel Castiel this season. He hadn't been in a lot of episodes, but in the short time he spent on set, Jensen and Jared had found it was really easy to make him break.

"Why don't you do stuff like that to me?" Gen asked, setting her drink back on the table.

"Now why would I be mean to my girlfriend while filming?" Jared teased.

"You're such a dork."

"A dork who loves you."

Gen leaned forward across the table, and Jared leaned forward to meet her halfway, their lips brushing against each other.

"Good luck, man!" Jensen called as Jared headed to his car.

He waved back, ducking into the driver's seat. He had decided to drive separately from Jensen that day so that he could go meet up with Genevieve after work. The little black ring box felt like it was burning a hole in his pocket the entire time he drove over to her place. When he arrived, he used the spare key she had given him to let himself in.

"Gen? You there?"

There was no answer and Jared crept down the hallway, listening for any sign of life. When he reached her bedroom door, he raised his hand to knock when a sound on the other side made him pause.

"Oh God, Blake," Gen's voice carried through the door.

"You like that, baby?" a man's voice responded huskily.

Seeing red, Jared flung the door open with no regard to what he would find on the other side. Gen yelped staring at him with wide brown eyes.

"J-Jared?"

Jared didn't say anything, just taking in the scene in front of him. Gen had the sheet pulled up over her chest, the tops of her bare shoulders just barely peeking out. Beside her lay a man Jared didn't recognize who had the sheet around his waist, his bare chest completely exposed. He had red hair and bright green eyes and freckles covering every inch of his skin.

"What the hell, man?" the man- Blake- practically growled.

"Jared, what are you doing here?" Gen asked.

"Well, I thought I was picking up my girlfriend to take her out, but obviously that's not going to happen now," Jared said, finding his voice.

"Jared, wait-"

Ignoring her, Jared turned on his heel and headed out of the bedroom, slamming the front door on his way out.
