i sit in the chair in paul seductor's operating room.
i wait. silently. i haven't left the room since it happened. i haven't spoken. mike and kurt and krist have tried to get in, but haven't been able to. i've used all my strength to keep them out. i feed off of the blood that paul seductor keeps in here. i wait for her. for her to wake up. i never turned off the music. it plays quietly in the background. i never saw my son. i only saw him when he was first born. i've gotten confirmation that he's a boy from kurt. kurt is taking care of him until bella wakes up. and if bella doesn't wake up, then i guess he'll take care of him forever. i certainly don't want to see that thing until i know for sure it didn't kill the love of my life.
i hear yet another person come to the door and knock quietly. "hey dave." it's mike. "i know there's no chance that you're leaving until bella is awake but i thought i'd keep you updated on things out here. things with cummer are hard to say. complicated, to say the least. we all miss you. even me. i don't expect you to respond but i hope you're okay." he stops and slowly walks away. i replay the memories of mike in my head. he's the only man i've ever wanted to have sex with. although those emotions are long gone, it's nice to look back on them. i hear the thing crying. i refuse to call it a baby. it's been crying since it was born and i've hardly heard it stop. i wondered what happened to mike killing the thing. kurt must have stopped him.
