"I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO SAY-" I start once Mr Stark catches me on the spaceship.

"You should not be here." He scolds.

"I was gonna go home-"

"I don't wanna hear it."

"But it was such a long way down and I just thought..."

"And now I gotta hear it."

"...Plus, this suit is ridiculously intuitive by the way. So if anything, it's kinda your fault that I'm here."

"What did you just say?" Mr Stark asks, pointing a finger at me and cloak that the wizard was wearing seems to be doing the same thing as well.

"I take that back." I say quickly. "But now I'm here in space."

"Yeah, right where I didn't want you to be." Mr Stark sighs, stepping towards me. "This isn't Coney Island, this isn't a field trip, this is a one way ticket. You hear me? Don't pretend like you thought this through."

"I did- I did think this through!" I hiss.

"You could not have possibly thought this through."

"You can't be a friendly neighbourhood Spiderman if there's no neighbourhood." I say and Mr Stark looks at me blankly. "Okay, that didn't really make sense but you know what I'm trying to say."

"Goddamn it." Mr Stark groans. "Come on, we have a situation." He points down on the platform below and I see the wizard guy who's now fully conscious. He's got needles sent by the Squidward looking guy that are poking into his face.

"What's your plan?" Mr Stark asks.

"Um...have you ever seen this really old movie, 'Aliens'?"

"It's not an old movie. I've heard of it." He scoffs.

"Then you know what I'm talking about. Look, you know how space is like a vacuum right? Well, if you manage to blow out the backwall there, then everything will get sucked out."

Mister Stark stares at me. "How is that a good plan?"

"You didn't let me finish." I say in a low voice so that Squidward can't hear me. "You have flight abilities, so you should be good. You can also freeze stuff using your nanotech. If we can blow out the back wall then Squidward gets sucked out. I can hold onto the wizard with my webs and cling onto something to make sure I don't get sucked out too. Then, when Squidward's gone, you can patch the wall back up. Easy."

"I'm trusting you here, kid." Mr Stark looks at me. "This better work."

"It will." I gulp, nodding.

Really, I have no idea if this is going to work or not.

"Painful, aren't they?" Squidward says to the Wizard after pushing the needles into his face. "They were originally designed for micro surgery. And any one of them..." He turns around to see Mr Stark all set in position. "...Could end your friends life in an instant."

"I gotta tell you, he's not really my friend." Mr Stark admits. "Saving his life is more of a professional courtesy."

"You've saved nothing." Squidward walks towards him. "Your powers are inconsequential compared to mine."

"Yeah, but the kid's seen more movies."

Mr Stark blows a hole into the back wall, just like I said, and Squidward gets sucked out into space. However, the wizard start flying out of the ship too and I use my webs to hold onto him while some mechanical spider legs come out of my suit to help me out.

"What the hell are those?" I ask.

"Improvements." Mr Stark answers and I jump upwards, leaving him enough time to patch the hole in the ship.

Since there's no more suction going on anymore, I drop the wizard and he pants on the ground.

"Hey, we haven't officially met." I hold my hand out to the red cloak, thinking it's a real person. Instead of shaking my hand, it stares at me before hovering away, back to the wizard. "Cool."

"We gotta turn this ship around." The Wizard says.

"Yeah, now he wants to run." Mr Stark taunts, de-arming himself.

"I want to protect the stone."

"Yeah, and I want you to thank me. Now, go ahead I'm listening." He says, fidgeting with the controls of the huge ship.

"For what, nearly blasting me out into space?"

Mr Stark turns around abruptly. "Who just saved your magical ass? Me."

"I seriously don't know how you fit your head into that helmet."

"Admit it. You should've ducked out when I told you to. I tried to bench you. You refused."

"Unlike everyone else in your life, I don't work for you." The Wizard glares at Mr Stark.

"And due to that fact, we're now in a flying donut, miles away from Earth with no back up!"

"I'm backup." I interrupt their conversation.

"No, you're a stowaway. The adults are talking." Mister Stark tells me.

"Hey, I'm going to be 18 next year so technically, I'm an adult too." I defend myself.

"I'm sorry, I'm confused at to the relationship here. I mean, what is he, your ward?" The Wizard asks me.

"No." I answer. "I'm Peter, by the way."

"Doctor Strange." He answers bluntly.

Doctor Strange? That's a seriously cool superhero name.

"Oh, we're using our made up names?" I realise. "I'm Spider Man then."

Doctor Strange sighs and turns back to Mr Stark. I can tell these two have some sort of weird love-hate relationship because if they truly hated eachother, Mr Stark wouldn't have come all this way to save him.

"This thing is self correcting it's course, it's on auto pilot." Mr Stark says.

"Can we control it? Get us home?" Doctor Strange asks but Mr Stark looks like he's deep in thought. "Stark."

"Yeah?"

"Can you get us home?"

"Yeah, I heard you." Mr Stark sighs. "I'm just thinking I'm not so sure we should."

"Under no circumstances do we bring the time stone to Thanos. I don't think you quite understand what's at stake here."

"What?" Mr Stark squares up to him. "No, I think it's you who doesn't understand that Thanos has been in my head for the past six years, since he sent an army to New York and now he's back!"

Wait, the alien invasion in 2012 was all Thanos?

I remember that day like it was yesterday. Me and Jordyn were still in the awkward phase of our relationship and that was the day we had our first kiss. She thought we were going to die, since the aliens were near our school and she said she couldn't go out without doing it.

Now I'm glad I told her I loved her before I came on this spaceship because I'm not sure if I'm going to make it out of this.

"...And I don't know what to do." Mr Stark continues. "So I'm not so sure if it's a better plan to fight on our turf or his but you say what they did. What they can do. At least on his turf, he's not expecting it. So I say we take the fight to him."

"Alright, Stark. We go to him. But you have to understand, if it comes to saving you or Peter or the time stone, I will not hesitate to let either of you die. I can't because the universe depends on it."

"Cool." Mr Stark. "Good moral compass."

Mr Stark then walks over to me and puts his hands on either sides of my head. "Alright, kid. You're an Avenger now."
