BY the time it starts to get dark, we still haven't heard from Peter. Both me and Ned have been texting and calling his phone but with no answer.

Ned took us to his house, which was perfect since nobody but his grandmother was home meaning, we didn't really have to explain anything. She didn't ask a single question about why we were so angsty and why we bought a mystical box into her house.

I'm about ready to call Peter's cell for the one hundredth time today when Ned taps my shoulder, an uneasy look on his face.

"J?" He says, gulping. "You might wanna come watch this."

I put my phone down on the coffee table and sit down next to Ned on his couch, watching the news in anticipation.

There are a shit ton of news reporters outside Happy's condominium, where Peter and his aunt are now living. The place has been completely burned down, with the fire department swarming the place.

"We've been told that multiple people have been injured." The news anchor reports. "And we can confirm at least one person has been killed."

My heart sinks at the last part of the man's sentence. Peter hasn't been answering his calls, we haven't heard anything from him since the Sanctum. The possibility of this one person being killed could very much be him.

But as the news anchor keeps talking, I start to realise it couldn't be Peter. I mean if it was, that would be the only thing trending on the Internet right now. News channels would have a fucking field day if it was Spider-Man reported dead and not anyone else.

The only other person I could think of in this situation could be his aunt. I know for a fact she and Peter helped the bad guys move into Happy's condominium, since it was the last thing Peter told me on the phone before he went offline.

I turn away from the TV, moving back over to my original seat on the dining table to try and text Peter again.

"Still nothing?" Ned asks me.

I shake my head sadly. "Nope."

Ned gets up, joins me on the table and the two of us sit and stare at the magic box in front of me. I'd been itching to press it since the first hour went by without Peter notifying us and now, I have a really good excuse to.

"I'm gonna press it." I break the silence, taking my hands out of my hair and leaning back in my seat.

"What?" Ned rips his gaze away form the box and towards me. "No, you can't-"

"I know he told me to wait but...I'm gonna do it."

Just as I'm about to press the button, Ned sighs.

"I just wish we could see him." He says and a spark appears in front of the both of us.

I look at the spark and back at Ned, realising just how similar the colour is to one of Doctor Strange's portals. If Ned's wearing his portal ring and creating sparks then in theory he could possibly even open a portal.
