Peter stayed by Draco as much as he possibly could for breakfast. Draco found it very amusing how Peter clung to him and rambled happily about how awesome everything was. The two had potions together first and Peter was happy to follow Draco like a puppy after a treat, Draco could even see the other's tail wagging now and then, as they made their way into the dungeons.
The two had arrived early and so sat next to each other. Professor Snape was quite surprised to hear laughs and giggles from Draco and the new boy as they spoke. But Snape was happy that Draco was feeling a little better. Snape took a glance at the other boy, who he remembered was called Peter, the boy had a very bright personality, everyone could tell at first glance, but he also seemed to be lost deep down. Peter seemed to be the complete opposite of Draco, with his bright smile and with him being a gryffindor.
Soon the rest of the class arrived and they got on with the lesson. There were points taken from Gryffindor, mostly due to the golden trio being arrogant brats, but what surprised everyone was when Snape gave points to Gryffindor when Peter got something right. Peter's smile widened more, if that was even possible, and was so bright some slytherins had to look away from the ball of sunshine.
Draco helped Peter where he needed it, also known as trying to stop him from blowing anything up with his curiosity. Draco noticed quickly how Peter seemed to get distracted easily and how he would have to do multiple things at once to concentrate, he could also tell that he was someone that took a little longer to learn something new at points, but Draco made sure to be patient with his new friend. Little did Draco know how much that meant to Peter.
Peter was very content at the end of the lesson, he only almost blew up his cauldron three times thanks to Draco and he got to see many shiny magic things. He found out that his next lesson he would have with ravenclaws and so sadly he and Draco left each other to go their own ways. Peter made his way to transfiguration class.
Peter walked in a little later than everyone else but Professor Mcgonagall let him off as it was his first day. Peter happily sat down next to a ravenclaw girl with blonde hair and she looked super cool. And so that's how Peter started a conversation with her.
Peter listened closely in transfiguration class as soon as he saw Professor Mcgonagall turn into a cat and back. Peter believed it would work great for pranks and so he concentrated as much as possible in that class making sure to make as many notes as he could. Peter sat at the back of the class, his tongue out slightly as he took notes. Professor Mcgonagall held back a smile as she heard Peter constantly write and look through his book, making notes there too.
At the end of the day Peter was tired. And so he was looking around for Draco, his ears twitching as he tried to find his blonde friend, that's when he heard his friend. And ran off in the direction to try and scare the other teen.
Harry was just about to talk to Peter about how he should hang around only gryffindors, or just anyone except slytherins, when Peter's ears perked up a little and he ran off happily. Looking to where Peter ran, Harry saw Draco and got annoyed again, no one was around to notice his bright green eyes change to a deadly familiar red for a split second.
