"Do you want some more?" Samantha asked, standing behind the kitchen counter. Her one hand was on her hip since her stomach grew so much in the past weeks and with the other she held the pan.
"Uh huh." Michael said with a full mouth since he had aproximately three pancakes in his mouth at this point.
It was a Sunday afternoon and he just woke up, taking advantage of the fact that he didn't have to go to work today. Samantha was kind enough to make him as many pancakes as he was able to stuff himself with.
"Wow, my tummy is huge." Samantha pouted, looking at her reflection in the window, standing aside and rubbing her stomach. "And there is still over two months left."
"You look cute." Michael commented, giggling. He really thought she was cute with her pregnancy stomach, knowing that a smaller version of her was growing inside.
"Like an elephant." Samantha sighed, sitting down on a chair and resting her chin in a hand.
"A cute elephant." Michael corrected her, shoving another piece of pancake in his mouth. Today, different than other days, he felt really good and barely anything could drop his mood.
Michael was probably one of those summer hating people who felt already better with September starting, or it was the fact that him and Samantha finally had their peace in their own apartment, waiting for the baby to come and start a new chapter of their lives then.
"So ... " Michael trailed off, wiping his hands on a kitchen paper and pushing his plate towards Samantha. " ... Are you looking forward to the 14th November?" He wiggled an eyebrow, reminding her of the planned birth date.
Samantha frowned, shaking her head. Only a week ago she was at the doctor's with Michael and heard the details about giving birth what didn't just disgust the hell out of Michael but out of her as well.
"It will be all right." Michael assured her, stretching his arms out for her to sit on his lap so he could hug her, what she did then. "Once this is over, nothing can stop us." He whispered, going with a hand over her hair and placing a small kiss there.
"Okay." Samantha gulped, trying to not start crying now because she's done it more than enough in the past weeks. She grabbed the material of Michael's shirt, squeezing it tight and giggling while a small tear trailed down her cheek.
"Don't tell me you are crying." Michael whined, a slight smile on his face. He never liked when Samantha cried although it was never a big deal. But right now it was just funny to him.
"I'm not." Samantha chuckled, rubbing her eye with the back of a hand as tears streamed down her face.
"Oh yeah?" Michael cocked his head to the side, looking up to her since she was much higher than him, sitting on his lap. Samantha laughed a bit nodding, and only realizing then how dumb she must have looked. "And what is this then?" Michael went with a hand over her cheek, leaving it all wet afterwards.
"Water." Samantha giggled, standing up from him and walking over to the sink. "Sorry, but you know that while I am pregnant I can barely control my emotions." She groaned, taking some water in her hands and washing her face.
"Now I know why you lose yourself so easily, kissing me." Michael licked the inside of his mouth, leaning back in his chair and looking at Samantha, trying to look macho-like.
"Shut up." She scolded him, feeling a bit ashamed because of this.
Suddenly the bell rang, tearing Samantha's giggle while she stared to the floor. She excitedly ran through their apartment, reaching the front door just to find Karen standing there.
