- Present: Wandavision - Back at Base - Bucky POV -

"I know this is tech from the '80s, but can we sharpen the visuals?" Hayward says as he stands behind Bucky  who's fling the device into the Hex rolling his eyes as he listens to Haywards annoying voice butting in again.

"Working on it." Darcy too rolls her eyes.

"Maximoff located." Bucky confirms.

"Well done."

"We can't see the drone on the broadcast. Wanda's framing it out of the shot." Jimmy motions to the broadcast on the TV.

"Just like all the jump cuts. Wanda decides what makes it onto her show and what doesn't." Darcy adds.

"And here we go. You're up." Hayward looks at the screens then back to Bucky.

"Wanda, this is Bucky, Wanda it's me.  Can you hear me? I just want to talk. That's it." He says though the mic, watching intently as he looks at Wanda's concerned and hardened expression almost mirroring his own.

"No joy." Bucky grinds his teeth at Hayward as he leans closer to him.

"The controls aren't working...Reconnect patch."

"Disregard. Take the shot." Hayward interrupts Bucky.

"What? No. It's not an armed...." Bucky doesn't finish his sentence before he slams down the headset and stands to face Hayward.

"What  the hell did you do?!" He shouts as the alarms start blaring.

"There's a breach, sir." An argent calls and everyone runs outside.

Guns and lasers points at the part of the Hex showing movement, the tense atmosphere fills the air as Bucky runs towards the front of the group watching as Wanda steps out dragging their equipment behind her and throwing it onto the ground at Haywards feet.

"Is this yours?" Wanda remarks angrily, her accent returning now she was in the real world.

"The missile was just a precaution. You can hardly blame us, Wanda." He lies awkwardly.

"Oh, I think I can. This will be your only warning. Stay out of my home. You don't bother me. I won't bother you."

"I wish it could be that simple. You've taken an entire town hostage."

"Well, I'm not the one with the guns, Director."

"But you are the one in control...." Bucky steps out walking a little closer.

"You're still here." She asks with arched brows, a glowing red ball appearing in her hand.

"Wanda, I didn't know the drones were armed. But you know that, don't you?" He strides closer to her.

"You have a town full of civilians, and you, a telepath, brought me and Y/N  into your home. You trusted her, us,  to help deliver your babies. On some level, Wanda, you know I am still a friend. I wanna help you."

"How? What could you possibly have to offer me?"

"What do you want?" Bucky asks slowly, the same question his therapist once asked him.

"I have what I want and no one will ever take it from me again."

"Shit" Bucky mumbles as Wanda turns the guards on Hayward until she  is back inside the Hex and then lets them go.

. . .

"I wanna see a full work-up inside the hour." Hayward stays sternly pointing the now red glowing 80s drone Wanda threw back at him earlier.
