Chapter 8 (Investigation Regroup)

Monokuma (Loudspeaker): "Goooood morning students! Hope you're all well rested and ready to start the day!"

Hajime: "He really doesn't care, does he..."

Hajime changed into some different clothes, exactly similar to his last and made his way out of the cottage. After performing a few stretches, he made his way to the hotel restaurant and met up with everyone there.

Mahiru: "Oh good, you're all here."

Kazuichi: "Yo."

Mikan: "Good morning."

Hiyoko: "Why is it all so gloomy here?"

Mikan: "T-Two people just died yesterday! How do you expect it to not be gloomy?"

Mahiru: "Wait... a second. Where's Sora?"

Hiyoko: "Oh the grandma? She probably turned to dust already!"

Nekomaru: "Despite what you say about her, she's pretty agile."

Kazuichi: "Yeah, also pretty strong." Oh

Mahiru; "That still doesn't answer my question. Did anyone see her?"

Sonia: "I did not..."

Chiaki: "I can check her cottage."

Mahiru: "I wouldn't recommend going alone. We don't know where Monokuma is currently."

Chiaki: "Hajime. Will you come with?"

Hajime: "Huh? Me?"

Chiaki: "Yeah, why not?"

Hajime: "Alright. I'll go."

Peko: "We'll wait."

The two walked over to Sora's newly made cottage. The two of them rang the doorbell, but there was no answer...

Hajime: "Odd..."

Chiaki: "Wait... it's unlocked."

Hajime: "You don't think..?"

Chiaki forced the door open to see that their theories were wrong. The room was clean and Sora was just asleep in the bed.

Hajime: "H-How did she sleep through the morning announcement!?"

Chiaki: "I guess she's a sound sleeper."

Hajime: "So... how do we wake her up?"

Chiaki: "Hmm..."

Chiaki suddenly pulled a triangle and a small baton from her backpack and gave it a whack right next to the sleeping Sora, causing her to move, and eventually wake up.

Sora: "Hrrk-?"

Sora rubbed her eyes as rose from the bed to see Hajime and Chiaki standing not too far from her bed.

Sora: "Oh... you two... *yawn*."

Chiaki: "Yeah. We were worried about why you didn't arrive at the meeting area."

Sora: "Sorry about that... I'm a bit of a sound-sleeper. Just give me time to get dressed at least."

Hajime: "Right, we'll wait."

Hajime and Chiaki made their way out of the cottage, and Sora came out a few minutes later.

Sora: "I'm ready."

Hajime and Chiaki led Sora back to the hotel and into the restaurant where Akane picked up a scent.

Akane: "Hey, what's that smell?"

Sonia: "Please don't say it's another dead body..."

Hajime: "What'd we miss?"

Mahiru: "Not much."
