Chapter 2

When I went downstairs there were Piper, and three more people, two guys and one more girl. "hi" I said awkwardly. They all said hi in unison and then laughed. "this is Will- I mean William Stanley-"

she pointed to a reddish brown haired guy with freckles on his nose, pale skin and green eyes. "-and this is Zack Horan-"

he was really dark haired with honey brown eyes and a little darker complexion. "-and this is Katie Peterson"

she was really pale, paler than William, with dark brown eyes and really curly sandy greyish hair "-new member of our girl gang."

She winked and Katie chuckled. "Hi, I am Faith Solace and I am your Dorm mate." We all then sat together and shared everyone's stories, while we were talking and having fun I noticed that Piper did look really rich according to her clothes and William looked a little poor as compare to Zack and Katie.

They both were like me, middle class.
We talked till 6:30 in the evening and then we all planned to buy food because there was no grocery. Boys went to buy some dinner and me, Piper and Katie were sitting in the lounge.

"so it means one dorm will have three guys and three girls, well this is exciting." Piper said a bit excited. I kind of had an idea why this was so exciting for Piper. "guys have picked there rooms, right? Which one is William's?" I asked

"next to mine" and Piper said as she blushed, she tried to hide it but I noticed. "I am going to wear something more comfortable." Katie said as she was going to her room.

Me and Piper were alone in the room. "so you think William-oops I mean Will is cute?" I asked her. Piper blushed really hard "so you noticed?" she asked.

"of course, you're definitely going to develop a crush on him!!" I said confidently. "I know but how can you not have a crush on him? I mean look at him he's got those amazingly green eyes, and then his bronze plus red plus brown hair and he was wearing that shirt which looked like it was maybe ten years old and those faded jeans, God only he can pull off that look."

she really doesn't care if he's wearing that?

Obviously I also don't care but she was like really rich and still... " you know you are really amazing too, he must be talking this kind of stuff to Zack." She looked hopeful and then her expressions turned evil and I knew where this conversation was going. "What do you think of Zack?"

"I knew this was coming and no I am not developing or planning to develop any kind of crush on him."

Katie came back and at the same time boys also came back, Zack was holding three pizzas and William had drinks. I don't drink so I just ate pizza while others enjoyed both. William and Piper were sitting side by side. A chunk of pizza was stuck on Piper's lip and William cleaned it for her. I was happy knowing that William also liked her.

Zack and Katie, they were talking and Zack told everyone he's got a girlfriend and Katie revealed that she is gay.

After dinner I headed straight to my room, changed into my old t-shirt and went to bed. I couldn't sleep that day, I felt really left out with my dorm mates, I am not saying that they were not good or they ignored me, I am that kind of person who takes a lot of time to be comfortable.

I'll joke with them but won't be able trust them completely really soon. Feeling left out was no new to me, I always felt left out in my house as well, I was not completely comfortable with them. There are only like three people on this planet who didn't make me feel awkward and I really missed them. I missed Grace. I missed Monty, my best friend. I missed Alexandra, my girl pal.

In all those thoughts, I drifted to sleep.
I woke up in the morning at the sound of alarm, the second I got my senses back, I started feeling nervous. I was scared what if I made a fool of myself in the orientation that day.

I got up and brushed my teeth, washed my face, brushed my hair and opened my closet to see what I was going to wear. It was fall season not really cold, not really hot. I picked a turtleneck, full sleeved shirt with faded black jeans and a black denim jacket with black high ankles.

My hair looked like haystack so I made a loose bun. I took my back pack went downstairs. Every one was already there. Katie was wearing white full sleeved shirt which had rainbow line in the middle with blue jeans. She was so confident about being a member of LGBTQ. She was a rebel. She looked like one.

Piper was wearing mustard sleeveless sweater with a denim pullover and printed check pants. Guys looked good as well, I didn't much notice guys, it was weird that they just didn't catch my eye.

Who knows what kind of guy do I want... this is irrelevant right now.

"Orientation is in auditorium of the college, there will be around fifty people." My hands were shaking, "oh its okay, it will be fun" Katie said. I was confused now "there's no fun in this" I said in a frustrated voice.

"the fun is that I am going to meet so many cute girls there." I laughed at her hope. "I'm making breakfast for me, you guys-" Zack interrupted me "you're late, we've all have eaten" I shrugged and went to kitchen. It was an open kitchen, I could see everything happening in lounge.

Katie and Zack talked like they are really old friends. "we both are going to take some dose of caffeine" I caught Piper's eye and she was really happy and nervous. I have not seen her nervous so this was a new. I was eating my cereals, yeah we only had cereals in our kitchen.

My phone rang, I picked it without looking at the caller id "hello?" I said. "how are you" I recognized the voice and I practically screamed "Monty!!" Katie and Zack turned around and was looking at me, I waved my hand in a dismissive gesture.

We talked for like thirty minutes, William and Piper were already back. Piper gave me a look which said so you're already taken? And I just laughed. I ended call and joined Piper, William, Zack and Katie "so you and Monty?" William asked teasingly.

"He's my best friend and he loves his girlfriend and I am happy for him" after my statement all of there expressions turned disappointed. We went for our orientation.
