Next morning, I woke up fresh and happy. I was excited about the Christmas break. I wore a grey hoodie with black ripped jeans. When I reached downstairs everyone was ready to leave. Ryan was sitting on the kitchen counter eating peacefully.

Sometimes he acted so goofy.

He looked cute. “Pipes, we should leave now.” William said. Piper hugged me and Katie. Waved to Ryan and Zack. “you guys are spending the break together?” Katie asked. “yeah, I’ll be at Will's" Piper said happily. They held hands and left.

Zack was spending the break with his parents and girlfriend. He left after half an hour. Katie’s sister, Kassie picked her up. Ryan and me were alone now. I didn’t know how we were going to spend the break, but I was excited. We both sat at the sofa together, facing each other.

“I had so much fun last night.” Ryan said, resting his chin in his hand. He was looking up at me. I was distracted by the sight for a while. He shook me a little, I came back to my senses. “um...yeah me too.”

I remembered our-almost-kiss and blushed. He tilted his head curiously. “what are you thinking?” he asked me. “you ask me this question a lot.” I pointed out. “I’ve already told you, I’m Edward Cullen. I don’t mean it as I’m praising myself...don’t get me wrong.” He explained.

I laughed at his frustrated expressions. “You don’t need to praise yourself, I bet there are many who would love to do that.” I said trying not to smile. “Really? Who are the ‘many' that would like praising me?” he asked me in amusement.

Where was this conversation going I had no idea. “Rosie for sure, the way she tries to get your attention says it all. There’s this girl in one of my class, who is always talking about you and believe me there are more.” I said.

Obviously I didn’t say my name, but without a doubt, I would have loved saying nice things about him. He pondered on my statement for a while and then smirked at me.

He took a strand of my hair in his hand playfully. “then I’m not alone in this, people also likes to compliment you.” He said. “no, I don’t think so. Rosie hate me and so do her girl pals. And all the guys from football does too because they are like pets of the cheerleaders.” I said, because obviously why would they look at me when Rosie is around.

Ryan looked at me as if I had gone crazy. “no, no, no. Guys from football doesn’t hate you. You have no idea what they think of you. And I’ve heard about some of the girls into you too.” He said defensively.

For sure, I was looking at him as if he was crazy. “yeah okay, let’s talk about something else.” I just said it simply because I didn’t want to talk about football guys. Ryan was different.

We talked for a while, then went on a walk across the campus. Snow was everywhere, a cold ball hit me in the back. I turned around to see Ryan standing with another snowball in his hand. It hit me in the face. We had snowball war for an hour.

I smashed a snowball in his hair, I was shivering. We both headed back to dorm. I took a hot shower, changed into a light blue sweater with white sweatpants, my hair wet.

I laid on my stomach in my bed under the blanket. Re-reading twilight, I know I am a twilight saga junkie. I felt Ryan laying beside me. He was laying on his back, he was looking at me. “how much can you read in a day?” he asked me.

“once I read a nine hundred pages book in a day.” I told him. His eyes widened. “what? Are you serious?” he asked me. I nodded. “when was the last time you read?” I asked him. “its been years.” He told me. I was confuse. “No, you used to be in library for two hours daily.” I pointed out.

His expressions turned nervous. I put my book aside. My hands went automatically to his scar. “I never read in the library, I couldn’t actually. I used to come see you.” He said blushing furiously. I’m sure my expressions must have turned tender.

Ryan always made me feel good about myself. I didn’t know what to say so I just simply rested my head on his chest, feeling his heartbeat. It was faster than usual. I fell asleep instantly hearing the lullaby.
