The sun rises over the buildings. Traffic is heavy, as people are trying to get to either work or school. Short Luke is already sitting in what was once Mr. Deter's office, thinking. After some time, the first bell rings. He stands up, and walks into the main band hall to wait for first period to come in. Students walk through the door, and assemble their instruments. Luke looks at them, and sees a former trumpet player. Those goddamn trumpet players. So damn loud and always saying "ur mom" every chance they get. For those reasons, he eradicated the trumpet section from the band entirely. He had the former trumpets transform their former secluded area of lockers into a torture chamber. The trumpets in question were forced to destroy their xenos in front of Luke, being relegated to slaves of Luke.
Observing the former trumpet player, Luke notices something amiss. Directing his gaze to the waist of his slave, he spots a small black case locked in his grip. All too familiar to him, Luke realizes the possible mutiny being committed.
"What are you holding?" Luke says, slowly.
"Your mom..." The trumpet (slave) gasps, surprised at what they had just uttered from their mouth.
Luke grits his teeth. His hands begin to shake, growing more and more violent as time passes. He gives a death glare to the unfortunate trumpet player (stupid baby subordinate). The trumpet player looks back at Luke, petrified of what he might do.
"I'm so sorry master overlord arch bishop director of the world Luke! I swear I didn't mean it!!!" the slave pleads, tears streaming down their face.
Without skipping a beat, Luke melts the trumpet with his laser eyes, then ordering the remaining trumpet slaves to scoop their ashes from the ground to dispose of. Luke shifts his attention to the case the slave had held. He bends down and begins to unzip it. Just as he thought, a familiar brass tool of annoyance sits in the black case. He looks around to see if anyone else has a trumpet, but doesn't see anything. He calms down, his mind now at peace. Everyone prays to him, which fuels his ego even more. Some people only pretend though. The trumpet slaves and those in the trombone sections pretend, but don't actually pray. They refused to bow down to a freshman.
The trombonists and former trumpets look at each other with pity. They had lost all of their freedom, especially the trumpets. Short Luke passes out the new music. It's extremely easy. Even the worst players in the entire band would find it patronizing to be receiving, let alone first band receiving it. As they look at it, they wonder what their future will hold. The period goes by slowly as they go measure by measure, repeating each one individually until Short Luke is satisfied. The period ends, and others come in to meet the same fate. Every period has to deal with the tedious workings of Luke. The period that got it the worst was 4th. Five people died that day due to inadequate playing. Short Luke has absolutely no patience for bad players. He can't stand them almost as much as he can't stand trumpet players. In total, Luke has massacred twenty people, and there doesn't seem to be an end to his bloodthirst.
After school, the trombones put their plan into action. Renee runs into her house to grab the anti-gamer juice that will turn Short Luke from a seven foot one alpha to a five foot four beta cuck. She opens her cabinet of magic objects and finds the antidote quickly. She grabs it and runs back out. The trombones are already piled into Adrian's car (which, by the way, is a very cool mustang. Ladies [or gents 👀] if you're single, my number is 210-***-****. I am a 7'11 tall macho man with many muscles and huge pp, and I am the prince of Nigeria. What I look like will be the picture at the top of the chapter 😼). Adrian is driving, Atlas is in the front, Renee, CJ, Josh and Aaron are crammed in the back, and David along with Matthew are in the trunk. Adrian speeds to Steele High School, going 100 in a 30. Adrian runs over a child named Carry, and a woman named Katie. Both will NOT be missed.
They finally arrive at Steele. Adrian does an epic drift into the parking lot, and parks in two spaces. They check the time to see that it's 11pm. Despite the late time, they know that Luke is still in there because he now lives at Steele. Short Luke has abandoned his family, and his mother keeps on calling him everyday, begging him to come home. Everyday, he tells her that he's too busy.
The trombones climb the fence that is at the side of the school where the band lot is. Miles picks the locks to the band hall entrance just in front of the gravel field. He looks concentrated and stern as he does so. He finally hears a click, and unlocks the door. Renee and Miles tiptoe inside, being extremely diligent as to not be caught.
Miles is the lock picker while Renee has the drink. David and Matthew are outside keeping watch with weapons. David has a shovel from his farm while Matthew has the claw hand. Josh and Aaron have their phones on stand by while Adrian is in the car as the getaway driver.
Renee and Miles sneak into the hall dressed in all black. Short Luke is in the bathroom as they do this. Miles looks around to see if anyone is there as Renee enters the office to sneak the potion into Luke's drink. She opens the bottle with a pop as the cork pulls out, and pours it into Luke's cup as carefully as she can, and plugs it back up. Miles sees Short Luke walk back to the band hall. Miles enters the office, and drags himself along with Renee into the main band hall where they hide underneath a desk where the band director's stand is.
Short Luke goes into his office and stops. He looks around, feeling as though he wasn't the only one in the band hall. He takes a sip of his drink, sets it down, and walks out with suspicion. He scans the room, and starts looking around in depth. Miles quietly texts Aaron and Josh that the task was done successfully, but that they need to get everyone in the car as soon as possible, and to be careful. He tells them to not enter the band hall under any circumstances, and to not cross the band hall doors. He puts his phone back into his pocket after sending it, and waits until Short Luke is gone.
Aaron gets the trombone section into the car.
"Don't drive off yet, Adrian. Renee and Miles are still inside", Aaron tells Adrian as he gets into the back seat.
"Got it", Adrian replies.
Soon after the trombones get back into the car, Short Luke looks underneath the desk near the band director's stand, and sees Renee and Miles. He's shocked, so Miles uses that opportunity to stab Short Luke in the shins. Luke falters back a bit, allowing Renee and Miles to run. Luke tries to shoot them with laser eyes, but both evade it. The two push the door open, and bolt their way out as Luke chases them. Luke moves at ridiculous speeds, and therefore catches up with them quickly. Renee grabs his wrist, and slams him onto the ground by pulling Luke over her back and over herself. She tases him once he's down, which seizes him long enough for them to run away. Her and Miles continue running, and just barely make it to the car. They get in and slam the door while breathing heavily. Luke gets up, and begins chasing them again as Adrian slams their foot onto the gas pedal, causing the wheels to spin before even going. They speed off as Luke still chases them, narrowly missing other cars and pedestrians. Luke is slowly getting smaller and smaller into the distance as they speed off. Adrian slows down after a while once they see that Luke is long gone. Everyone takes a breath of relief as the adrenaline wears off.
Luke finally gives up going after them. He'll still have his revenge though. He speeds his way back to the band hall, going 45 miles an hour on foot (no, I will NOT convert that to metric. This story is for patriots only! 🇺🇸). He walks back into the band hall, still a little pissed that the section got away. He drinks from the laced cup, not thinking much about why they were there, but rather more concerned about how he didn't stop them. He finishes it, and goes to sleep right in the office.
