The Tale of Two Lukes

Chapter 6: Short Luke's Promotion

    Short Luke drinks all of it. He finds nothing strange or suspicious about it. Luke goes into Mr. Deter's former office where he sleeps, and climbs into bed. He sleeps peacefully as the transformation takes place.
    As the sun comes over the horizon, Short Luke slowly wakes up. He HATES waking up. If he could shoot the sun, he would. Luke grumbles, standing up as the covers slide off. He notices how his point of view has changed. He's seeing things as if he were... short... He finds it odd. He feels less muscular than before. He rushes to the boys restroom, and looks in the mirror. Luke screams and falls onto the floor.
    "I-I-I-I'm weak and short!" Luke says as he feels like his world is falling apart. He puts his hands on his face and in his hair as he freaks out.
    "How am I supposed to rule now?! I can't go on like this!" Luke continues to have a crisis.
     After an hour of having a panic attack in the restroom, he finally emerges out of it. He takes a deep breath in, and walks back into the band hall. No one was there yet. He sits down in his office, when he then hears the band hall door suddenly open. He comes out to see who it was, and it was the mayor of Cibolo, Stosch Boyle, there to give Short Luke a message.
    "Luke, I have finally found you! I have an amazing opportunity for you!" The mayor says, excited.
     Luke is suspicious. For all he knows, it could be a trick. He crosses his arms, looking at Stosch with an arched eyebrow.
    "What is it?" Luke asks, slowly.
    "I'm giving my position to you! You're the new mayor!" Stosch exclaimed enthusiastically.
    "Wait, really?!" Luke asks, matching the excitement with that of Boyle, "Why?"
    "Because your leadership skills in the band have been so amazing, I believe you'd make an amazing mayor! What do you say?"
    "Of course!" Luke takes up the offer.
    "Great! It's a deal then!" Boyle gives Luke the key to the city. Luke takes it, and puts it in his pocket. They shake hands, and Luke leaves the school to go to town hall where his reign will begin. Luke struts down the street confidently, but no one swoons. No one passes out from his presence. No one falls in love with him. Short Luke is no longer a chad, but that doesn't matter. It won't be long before everyone knows who he is again. It won't be long until he dominates Texas, then the US, and then the entire world! That is his plan! He will conquer all and leave nothing behind!
