Chapter 5: Pencak Silat

Adrien POV

"Are you sure that you wasn't expecting a kiss from Lilly? It seemed like you enjoyed it." Nino asked as we prepared for P.E. 

"No. Are we going to have a debate about it?" I replied with a scowl.

"Just asking, bro." Nino said.

"I already got a lady in my life, Nino You should know that. Anyway, how's Alya?" I said as we reached the sports hall.

"She's resting in the nurse's office. So she's skipping P.E. today." Nino replied as he stretched his arms. "She's lucky. I have to work up a sweat."

"Come on, dude. You should be use to this." I said as I patted his back. "Besides. I hear Alya likes a strong, handsome man." I added with a smirk and flexed my muscles.

"Very funny, Agreste. You're lucky we're friends." Nino replied with a grouchy look on his face.

"Alright, you sorry lot. Today, we'll be learning the art of Pencak Silat." Our teacher, Timothy Volkov said.

As Volkov explained what Pencak Silat is and showed us the various techniques , Alex and I whispered to each other.

"I'm at a disadvantage." Alex said.

"How?" I replied.

"I don't know jack about Pencak Silat. I was taught Judo, kickboxing and stick fighting." He replied.

"Don't worry. I think you'll do fine." I said with a reassuring tone.

"I wish I shared you're optimism, Agreste." Alex said with a smirk.

"Aw. Are you warming up to me, mon loup." I asked.

"Don't get your hopes up." He said.

"Alright then. First, we will get you into groups of 2. Each of you will partake in a 1 v 1 match. First one on to the ground, loses." Volkov announced. He pointed  at Alex and I. "You two can go first, seeing that you might've payed close attention to what I've been saying."

"Eh bien merde (Well shit)." Alex muttered under his breath. I sighed. We stepped onto the mat and face each other. We bowed and got into our stances.

"Ready? FIGHT!" Volkov shouted.

Alex launched a kick at me. He ducked and swept me off my feet with his leg. He fell flat on his back and groaned. Everyone stifled their laughter.

"Sorry, mon ami. I guess I got a quick trigger." I chuckled and gave Alex a hand up. 

He rubbed his back and smirked. "Guess you do know a bit about Pencak Silat."

I shrugged. 

"Alright, You two. Kiss and make out later." Volkov said. Everyone laughed. I just rolled my eyes, while Alex faked a cough.

"Next pair, let's go." Volkov announced. 

Marinette and Lilly were next. They bowed and got into their stance.

"FIGHT!" Volkov shouted.

The two girls exchanged blows, blocking and countering each other's attacks. Marinette threw a palm strike at Lilly's cheek. Lilly dodged with a bored look on her face and strike her fist in her stomach. Marinette stepped back stunned. Lilly moved forward quickly, grabbed her arm and threw Marinette over her shoulder. Marinette landed onto the mat with a grunt. I gazed at Lilly with a look of shock and felt a small blush emerge from my cheeks. 

"Dude, not cool!" Nino hissed at me. 

I snapped out of my trance but was too late as I saw an embarrassed Marinette run out of the hall.

"Mari, Wait!" I called out. Nino stopped me. 

"I'll go and calm her down." He said and followed her.

Alex gave me a look of disappointment. I heard people whispering around us.

Are you sure Marinette is Ladybug?

Maybe she was lying?

I'm thinking Lilly might be Ladybug. She's pretty cool.

I got up and followed Nino to find Marinette.
