akahana sat on the edge of the docks in liyue harbor. 'how long has it been.. since i have escaped from my own home?' she thought to herself. 'ayaka, ayato.. kaito.. how are they?' her thoughts continued to wander as she watched the sunset.
years had passed ever since she escaped from inazuma; she travelled from liyue to mondstadt. then came back to liyue for a change of scenery, even for a short while. but did she put an effort to find her own kid? no. at first she did try to ask around but it was almost impossible for her to find kyo. she decided to find herself a new life and reputation before continuing her search, which took a whole lot longer than she anticipated.
in all honesty, she had no idea what her exact purpose on her new job is. all she got from her boss was errand running, and the payment was rather too little for her to live for a month. as expected from a former noble with a high position who is now in a really tight spot, she felt so lost.
but she'd rather suffer here than return to inazuma. even if it means the people here won't treat her with full respect as before. even if she had to struggle with hiding away from those citizens who were informed of her escape from inazuma, who are here in liyue and could possibly be in mondstadt. doubt that her parents didn't put a bounty on her.
the moon was up, she walked through the forest with a bag of goods in hand. she didn't bother asking for a ride back to mondstadt because of her lack of mora. if ever she got tired, she'll just set camp. with the moon and the street lights being her only source of light, she couldn't help but feel uneasy. akahana swore that she was doing fine earlier, she wondered where did this anxiousness came from.
the hair on her skin shot up when she felt something sprint from behind her. akahana quickly turned around, ready to pull out a dagger. she heard a small giggle, she turned her head everywhere to find the source. body trembling and eyes as wide as the moon above.
"you're quite fun to mess around with." she swung her dagger once she heard the person whisper from behind her. the mysterious individual dodged it with ease, hands raised in the air once they've regained their balance.
akahana observed the person, she can't quite tell if they were a woman or a man. their facial and body androgyny was perfect enough for anyone to stare in confusion just to figure out their gender. "i'm not gonna hurt you. unless you want to start a fight?"

"it's not nice to sneak up on someone like that!" the tip of her dagger still pointed at the dark-haired. she heard the person release an annoyed sigh. "fine, fine. mortals these days take everything too seriously."
