the said person blinked their eyes open, still adjusting from the brightness of the surroundings. [y/n] was met with an endless field of elegant flowers. the sky had a warm hue of yellow and pink, though there was no sun in sight.

their sleepy [e/c] eyes soon landed on an elegant girl they knew all too well. lime hair and aqua orbs. it was not mistaken that it was no other than hina. she still looked exactly how [y/n] last saw her with her birthday dress that fitted her well.

they've finally noticed that they shrunked back as a younger [y/n] that used to spend every minute with hina years ago. wearing the same attire that night on her birthday.

"you still look as charming as ever, [y/n]." hina smiled beside them. "come here, rest with me!" holding back the tears from falling, [y/n] complied.

they were practically forced to rest their head on her lap, but [y/n] didn't complain even in the slightest. they never realized how much they missed these kind of moments with her.

"hina.." until now, [y/n] was left speechless, only managing to utter her name. the girl didn't force anything out from them, instead, she placed her palm on their head and patted them gently. "shh.."

the tranquil atmosphere never left its presence. [y/n] have never felt this relaxed in a while now. they were ready to leave their mind blank, ever for just a few minutes.

"you were so powerful, [y/n]. i was quite surprised when you gave up all of the sudden." hina finally spoke after what felt like ages.

"i understand if everyone ends up seeing me as a disappointment. i will fully accept that." [y/n] replied.

"will you please be truthful for me.." hina glanced down at them, pleading [y/n] to allow her to listen to their heart.

"..but if you want me to be honest with you, i just want someone to understand my perspective. i'm so tired of everything, hina, it hurts." they paused before responding.

[y/n] stared back up at hina, the girl immediately signifying to them that it was okay to continue. there was no reason to hold back now.

"i'm tired of leading harm to everyone, my existence itself is troublesome enough. even my own mother would agree to that."

"i'm tired of bottling everything up and putting my own feelings aside to reach a certain goal. i never knew how painful the progress was until now."

"i'm tired of dealing with the challenges teyvat had brought me into and what do i get afterwards? absolute bullshit. the process repeats the same like i'm some headless chicken running around in circles."

[y/n] felt tears rolling down their face. at this point, they didn't mind exposing their weak state to hina.

"and the very reason why i kept going, motivated to find her through all these years; ended up being the person i would loathe unconditionally."

hina have always thought that [y/n] was capable of being sensitive. this was the [y/n] that she have always wanted to meet back then. she would've been more than happy to provide comfort for [y/n]. if only things between them had ended in the opposite way.
