Hauntingly Beautiful (Completed)

Contract

Trip went pretty well. Sarawat wasn't talking to him but he wasn't ignoring him coldly either. As soon as they came back Tine got busy with drawing up the contract. He wanted to create as many loopholes as possible. He knew it wasn't like Sarawat was bound to follow it but still knowing Sarawat he wouldn't go back on his words.

Tine cornered Sarawat while he was leaving for home, "Phi, why don't we talk about the contract? "

"Okay."

They went to nearby cafe and ordered a latte while they took seat to discuss their arrangement.

"Phi, I wrote the contract. Do you want to add something? "

Tine unfolded a piece of paper and skid it to Sarawat.

Contract

Sarawat and Tine agree to following arrangement for next six months starting from 6 October, 2021 till 6 April, 2022. Both parties will have to face penalty if they broke any of the conditions stated below. Any amendment to the clauses can only be done at the mutual agreement of both parties. It is valid for six months.

Rules and conditions :-

1) Sarawat will tutor Tine no matter what.

2) Wat (your name is too damn long) will let Tine stay by his side for stated time.

3) They won't ignore each other and will reply to all calls and messages unless emergency.

4) They won't date anyone during the given time period neither will they court anyone.

5) They can visit each other's house whenever they want. No objections will be entertained.

6) They will eat atleast one meal together daily and eat out at least once a week.

7) They won't fight over anything and if they do they will make up on that same day.

8) They will take care of each other.

9) If they go out for anything then they will inform each other.

10) If they go to bar, they will go together.

"Tine, are you freaking serious? "

"Why? Did I forget something? "

"What the hell, Tine? I'm going to tutor you. We aren't getting married. These sound like wedding promises."

"But they are necessary, don't you agree? "

"No, absolutely not. What are all these rules? Why can't we date? And eating together, why the hell? Replying to every message and call, like hell I would. Have you lost your mind? "

"P'Wat, it's not that hard and it's just for 6 months. Please? "

"Shut up. You are crazy. Who the hell writes such contract for tutoring? Why even write a contract? That's weird as hell. We aren't dating Tine, why should I take care of you? I don't want to."

"Okay, let me take care of you. Let me do all those things."

"No thanks. I don't want you to call me or visit me at home. And I refuse to eat with you. All I will do is teach you, that's all."

"Okay, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you. I just want to be your friend. Why can't you let me? "

"Because I don't want a friend. Don't you get it? Stop being so clingy."

Tine was sad at Wat's outburst but he couldn't blame him either. He knows his rules are outrageous and weird but he thought maybe Wat would humor him and agree to it. He wasn't sure why but being Wat's friend was important to him now. He felt like Sarawat needed a friend and he wanted to be the one.

"I'm s-sorry. It was s-stupid of me to do so. I'm r-really sorry." Tine stammered. He could feel his eyes well up with tears. He didn't want to cry in front of Sarawat so he excused himself.

Rest of the day passed in blur. Tine wasn't sure if Sarawat would even talk to him again. It seemed unlikely. Sarawat must be thinking that he was a freak. As soon as college was over Tine walked to the gate while immersed in his thoughts. He didn't see Sarawat waiting for him at the gate.

"Here." Sarawat thrusted the contract in Tine's hand and left.

Tine had thought he would have torn the contract by now. He was going to throw it away but he saw that Sarawat had signed on the contract and written his number at the bottom.

Tine was shocked as hell. Was it real? Did he really sign? Why did he throw such a fit if he was going to sign anyway? He was happy. He was going to be with Sarawat for 6 months. He would make sure Sarawat wouldn't be able to live without him.
