Tine hated waking up early and that too for going to college. He had somehow endured all those tiresome years in school now he had to bear four years in college. He had been an introvert for most part in school so he wanted to make lots of friends in college. He had come out of his shell and was quite confident now.
He showered and got dressed in black pants and blue fitting shirt. He had breakfast in hurry and left for college. He had no car so he had commute by public transport. It was a hassle but he couldn't afford a car yet. His family wasn't doing good financially and he was lucky that he got scholarship for engineering department in National Institute of Medical Sciences. He would study hard so that he could get a good job. He had to support his family.
He made to university on time and ran to the orientation hall. He was quite clumsy so he collided headfirst with a boy.
Tine quickly apologized, "I'm so sorry. I am in hurry so I didn't pay attention to where I was going. "
"...... " The boy didn't acknowledge his apology neither did he get angry
He just stood there watching him. It was little unnerving."Um... I'm sorry. Are you okay? "
The boy walked past him without saying anything.
'So rude. ' Tine thought to himself.
Rest of the day went pretty well for him. He made new friends Ohm, Fong and Green. They were quite friendly and they all shared love for BTS. They were army.
After few days they had fresher's party. There was introductory round and Tine was called up on the stage.
"Hello everyone, I'm Tine. I'm fresher in Engineering department. I love eating and reading books. I'm BTS fan and J-Hope is my love. I am gay and single so you can hit on me if you want." He winked at the crowd. People cheered loudly for him. Tine was crowned the Campus Moon. He was overjoyed.
It had been a month since he had started college and he had adjusted pretty well. He was doing pretty well academically except in Biostatistics and that made up a lot of his CGPA. He was almost failing the subject.
"Ohm, I can't fail. I need to do well in this."
"Why don't you get any senior to tutor you? "
"Yeah, that could work."
He asked lots of seniors to help him but none of them had time or weren't good at it. He enquired about the topper of their department and it turned out be a guy named Sarawat.
He went to his class and asked loudly, "Who is P'Sarawat? "
All the students stopped whatever they were doing. They just stared at him in shock. No one ever asked or talked about Sarawat.
Sarawat stared at the cute guy who was looking around adorably. He couldn't imagine why would he want to talk with him. He decided to ignore him.
"Will anyone answer? P'Sarawat??"
Few students pointed towards Sarawat sitting on last bench alone.
Sarawat glared at them and they quickly turned around.Tine looked at the guy he had bumped into in the morning. The rude guy. Now that made everything a little complicated. He had hoped the senior would nice and friendly guy so he could request the senior to tutor him. Now the possibility of that happening looked dim. Still it won't hurt to try. He shouldn't judge him yet. Maybe he wasn't in good mood in the morning.
Tine approached Sarawat, "Good afternoon, phi. I'm Tine, first year student. I need your help in Biostatistics. I'm flunking it. Can you tutor me? "
Sarawat kept looking at his phone without sparing any glance at Tine. Tine tried again, "Phi, can you help me? I really need your help. Please?"
Still no answer. Tine didn't know what to do. He wanted to shout at him but he couldn't since he needed his help. He asked few times more but only received silence. He was exasperated with Sarawat's behavior. Who ignored others like that? It was mean thing to do.
Tine left the classroom because he couldn't get any answer out of Sarawat. He thought he would try again tomorrow. Maybe he was just shy or introvert and wasn't fond of talking to stranger. That would make sense. He needed Sarawat so he wouldn't give up yet.
