"What did you do?" Tine asked suspiciously.

"Nothing."

He narrowed his eyes, "I hate you. "

"Tine."

"What happened last night? "

"Nothing happened."

"Why am not wearing my shirt? "

"Because you're feeling hot."

"You are lying."

"Tine, you were too drunk last night. I just brought you to the room. I didn't do anything."

"You made me drink. "

"If I remember correctly I kept telling you not to drink but you wouldn't listen."

"Still you should have stopped me."

"I tried to Tine."

Tine yelled, "You tried to take advantage of me."

"How did I do that? "

"I don't know. I don't remember."

"Tine, why you keep trying to pick up fight over every little things? "

"I don't. You are always angry with me. Tine don't do that, Tine don't talk like that. Everything I do is a problem for you."

"I like you." Wat blurted out.

There was complete silence after that. Tine wasn't sure if he heard it right. Wat wasn't sure why did he say that. Both of them were now in awkward silence.

"I hate you. "

"Doesn't matter you are mine anyway."

Tine gasped at that, "How can you say that? "

"Tine, let me get one thing clear. We are married now. I understand that you aren't happy with this marriage. You don't like me anymore. This all is hard for you but I won't tolerate disrespect anymore. I want you act like a good boy and you will. I'm treating you with care but you don't see that. I'm ready to give you whatever you desire and more. All I'm asking is that you behave properly. I don't expect you to like me but don't talk back like that. I won't tolerate it anymore."

"I will do whatever I want. You can't order me around. I'm not your puppet."

"Tine, I'm trying to be kind to you but you are getting on my nerves."

"Go to hell. Kind to me? I'm just like a prisoner here. I won't behave. What will you do? "

Sarawat slapped Tine across his face. Tine was shell shocked at that. He had never thought Wat would be physically violent towards him. He was scared now. He couldn't ask anyone for help. He was stranded here alone with Wat.

"How dare you slap me? You are disgusting." Tine shouted at Wat.

Tine got out of bed and ran to the bathroom. He locked the door and sat down crying. He felt so miserable. There was a time when he liked Wat and followed him around. Those days seemed like another lifetime. He was scared of him. His words were all lie. All he wanted to do was control him. Just like his father.

Wat didn't approach Tine again. He left the room. He ordered room service and got out of the hotel. He had one week left of his honeymoon. He had to make an appearance at one of the party in Hawaii. He needed to show there with Tine. He had been reluctant to go but his father wouldn't listen. He couldn't have Tine make a ruckus there. His father would kill Tine if he did anything to tarnish their reputation.

Watching Tine run away in fear was painful but necessary. He wished he could make Tine understand how utterly cruel his father could be. He can't do anything to help Tine either. All he can do is shield him. Controlling Tine isn't something Wat wants. Tine is a free bird and watching him live freely makes Wat happy but world isn't that easy.

Had Tine never met him maybe he would have lived a happy and content life. But not anymore. All Wat can do is make sure he doesn't get hurt more than he already has. When he comes back he sees that Tine has finished his breakfast and is sitting on the bed looking at his phone.

"Tine we have to go out in evening to a party. Our client is throwing it. It won't take much time. We just have to say hello."

"Okay." Tine replied.

"I have got your suit. Wear it."

"Okay."

"Would you like to do anything? "

"No."

"Then sleep. It will be long evening."

Tine didn't say anything and went to sleep. Wat knew he was angry and hurt by his behavior earlier. His phone rang and it was his father calling.

"Good afternoon, Father. "

"Don't make any mistake. "

"Yes, Father. Don't worry."

"If you weren't so incompetent I wouldn't have to worry."

"I'm sorry, Father. "

"Control that brat of yours."

"Tine will behave. "

"He better. Else things won't end well for him. "

"It's all under control. Tine understands everything. He won't cause problem."

"Boy, don't think you will get to live a perfect fairytale. This marriage is a sham and when I say it's over then it ends that very second."

"Yes Father. "

"You don't want to end up like your brother, do you? " With that said his father cut the call.

Sarawat wondered what it must have been like if he was a normal boy and had met Tine. Maybe they would have been happy. He looked at sleeping figure of Tine and felt a deep ache. A longing for something so out of his league. He was such a mess and Tine deserved so much better yet he was tied to him.

If he killed himself, would that make things better for Tine?

But then who would protect him?
