Next morning, Wat left for the meeting promising to take Tine out for dinner. Tine was bored sitting at hotel room so he decided to go sightseeing. He had never been abroad before meeting Wat. He was going to make most of it. He went to few bookstores and had loads of fun exploring them.

He had lunch at a cafe and after visiting a museum he came back to hotel to get ready for the evening. He had relaxing bath with bath bombs of alluring fragrance. He was using them for the first time and it felt nice. The bathtub was big enough for at least three people. After having bath, he deliberated over his outfit. He never really cared to dress up for Wat before because he was too angry with him but now he wanted to make effort.

After getting dressed, he waited for Wat to come. He had said he would come at 7 pm. It was already past 8. Tine called him numerous times but Wat didn't pick up. He sent lots of messages but received no reply. What angered him was that all of his messages were seen by Wat and he continuously cut his calls. Least he could do was let him know he's busy or something.

Tine consoled himself thinking maybe Wat is still in meeting or something went wrong with the deal they were working on. He could be stressed over that. Maybe he's not in mood for outing. Still at least he should come back. It was already 10 pm. Tine didn't have anyone's number who were working with Wat nor did he know where was meeting being held. He thought of contacting Wat's father to at least get the address of where meeting was being held but he didn't even pick up his call. Tine couldn't help worrying about Wat. He wanted to just hear his voice so he would know Wat was okay. Tine didn't eat dinner because he didn't have any appetite. He fell asleep waiting for Wat.

Around 1 am, Wat stumbled inside their hotel room. He collides with the table and cut himself on shattered glass. The noise woke Tine. He quickly went to help him. His hand was bleeding. At first Tine thought Wat was drunk but soon he realized he looked lost. He just stared in space without getting up. His hand was cut deep and he clutched the broken pieces tightly. Tine quickly bandaged his hand and tried to take him to bed.

"What happened, Wat? "

"........ "

"Did something happen? "

"........ "

"Are you okay? Please say something."

"........ "

"I'm worried, Wat. What's wrong? At least tell me why are you looking so broken."

"....... "

"Okay, let's get you changed first."

Tine helped Wat to change out of his three piece suit into comfortable clothes. He took Wat to bed and made him lie down. He was worried as hell. He has never seen Wat like this. It scared him. He wanted to help him but didn't know what he should or could do. He didn't know what had happened and Wat didn't seem like he would say anything right now.

"Wat, just sleep. We will sort out everything tomorrow."

"....... "

Tine was dying to hear his voice. But he couldn't force him to open up. Whatever it is, Wat needed time to get hold of himself.

"Wat, don't worry anymore. I'm right here beside you. We will handle it. Whatever it is, I'll be there for you. Always. So just close your eyes and sleep. Don't think about anything. When you wake up tomorrow, I'll take you to this beautiful place I found today and we will sit there under sunshine gazing at things in wonder and I'll feed you and everything will be alright."

Tine wrapped his arms around Wat and hugged him tightly. He patted his back until Wat fell asleep. Next morning, Tine woke up to find Wat already dressed up.

"Where are you going? "

"Meeting."

"Are you okay? "

"Yes, I'm fine. Sorry I couldn't take you out yesterday. Was busy with work."

"It's okay. What happened yesterday?"

"Sorry, I must have scares you. It was nothing. The deal didn't work out the way we had wanted. That's all. I'm going to fix it today."

"Are you sure? It looked like something else. "

"Everything is okay, Tine. Don't worry too much. I'll eat dinner with you today. Bye."

"Wat."

"Yes? "

"Love you. "

"I love you too. "

Tine was sure it wasn't just about business deal. The look on Wat's face yesterday was something else. He had never seen someone look so utterly broken. He looked like he wanted to just disappear. His eyes looked vacant. So empty that it chilled Tine to bones. He wished Wat would confide in him. He should trust him at least that much.

Tine wanted to know what was the reason for such drastic change in Wat demeanor to be able to help him. Tine just hoped he could protect Wat from whatever demons he was dealing with.
