Aryll looked up at the man. He was tall, wore armor, had a sword on his back, and was missing in eye. He scared her. A lot. Her lip began to quiver as she looked up at him. He looked right back down at her. "What are you doing here little one?"
"N - Nothing...." she lied, looking at her bear feet.
"Stealing?" he asked.
"N - No" she answered.
"Are you lost?"
She shook her head, and looked back into the woods. Wrong answer, she had no idea where the nearest town was. "Really? So you knew exactly where you were going?" he asked. She nodded and looked around him. There were 8 sleeping people, all with blonde hair, and slightly tanned faces.
"Yes" she said, her voice suddenly full of confidence. She was to far in to go back now. "What's your name?" he asked. "What's your's?" she asked, more pissed than scared now. She looked him straight in the eye. "Answering a question with a question, that's fair" he said. "Who are you?" she asked. "I'll spare you my life's story" he said.
"What's your name?" she repeated.
"Tell me your's and I'll tell you mine"
She thought about this for a second, and then desided that it was fair to tell the adult her name first. "My name is...." it was at this point that she saw Linkle in a tree across the way. She put one finger to her lips, and then ducked for cover as the man looked behind him, checking. "Well, spit it out, I don't have all night...."
But the girl had already run back into the forest.

"You okay Old Man, you seem a little different today" said Wars as they set up camp the next night. "Did you all happen to see anyone on the road today?" he asked. "If by road you mean the path we took in the forest, no, I did not" said Twilight, pushing Hyrule's food away from him.
"Didn't see a thing" said Wind, who was getting sick and tired of people pouring Hyrule's food into his bowl.
"Why?" asked Warriors.
"Oh, last night there was this.... girl...." he said, his face scrunched up in confusion.
"Thought you were married" said Legend.
"You're about to be dead, shut up" said Time. "No, that's not what I meant. A little girl, younger than Wind, came running through the forest and ran into me. She seemed, suspicious. She said she knew where she was going, but we haven't seen another soul for days"
They all pondered this.
"Was she holding a weapon?" asked Wind.
"Not that I could see"
"Was she maybe wearing a blue dress with flowers on it?" he asked, his eyes growing wide. "I don't know, I couldn't tell, though she was wearing a dress, and had pigtails" he said. Wind huffed. "Never mind, wishful thinking a guess...."
"What happened to her?"
"She just, ran off. She looked behind me, at you guys once. And then seemed to look at the trees behind me. But when I looked, nothing was there" he said, holding his head in his hands. "I'll stand watch tonight" said Twilight. "Good idea"

Linkle sighed, Aryll was already asleep. She couldn't blame her, she was only about 10 years old. But this meant that she would have to do this herself. She covered Aryll with a small blanket, and poked at there small fire for a bit.
Then she took off through the woods.
Running faster and faster and faster. Until she reached the Link's hideout. And tripped over a wolf. She kept herself from crying out as she hit the ground. The Link's were still asleep. She backed up, not realizing that the wolf was gone, and began to run again. She made it 30 yards before she ran into a boy.
He looked a little like her brother.
But at the same time, he was.... not. He was much better looking than her brother, and wore what looked like a wolves skin over his shoulders. "What are you doing here?" he asked. She stepped away, but he just stepped closer to her, grabbing her wrist. His grip was tight, there was no way she could escape.
"Nothing" she said, she didn't dare reach for the crossbow on her boot. "Nothing, that's interesting, nothing is a very hard thing to do you know" he said. Linkle blushed. Keep it together Linkle. She told herself.
"I was just..."
"Stealing?"
"No"
"Lost"
She scowled. "I know where I am" He laughed quietly. "Let me go" she demanded. He let her go. "Then where are you?" he asked. "Doesn't matter, leave me alone" she started to walk off into the woods. He followed her, mystified by this mysterious girl. Was she the girl that The Old Man had talked about? No, that was impossible. She was obviously not a 10 year old.
"If you're lost, we can help you"
"No thanks, bye" He let her walk away. But couldn't shake the feeling that he knew her, from somewhere, and that she was no normal girl.

"Alright, we keep failing at this, and I think I know why" said Linkle to Aryll the next day. "We're really bad at playing pranks on our brothers?" asked Aryll. "No, we're taking the wrong approach, we need to avoid the Link of guard. And to do that... we have to separate them, not while they're sleeping, but when they're awake" Aryll nodded, thinking about this.
"Okay, but how do we do that?" asked Aryll.
"Well, this could be dangerous, are you okay with that"
"Danger is my middle name"
"Do you know how to shoot a crossbow?"
"I know how to wield a sword" said Aryll.
"Good, take this" said Linkle, handing her a dagger. Aryll giggled, holding the sheathed weapon in her hands.
"Be careful kid."
"You to"
