Time skip to the next day after school

I was at Ruby and Jamal's "election" or "campaign" thing to see whoever wins. Jamal or Ruby. I didn't vote because I'm friends with both but if I could pick one it would be neither.

I was sitting at the table listening and a guy was talking to us. Ruby got introduced and no one really did anything besides Jasmine. Jamal came out and everyone was cheering. Suddenly a banner fell with him on it and he started giving out things for his fathers restaurant. Ruby went first to talk about what he wanted for our school.

"School safety! We need more security guards and crosswalks." Ruby said pointing his finger to the ground.

"Cause people can't see you over their dashboards?" Jamal said with his arms crossed as all the football players laughed.

"CAUSE YOUR'E LITTLE!" Someone yelled out.

"And we need a dress code so no one is targeted for wearing the wrong colors" Ruby said trying to make his point.

"Dress code? Coming from the guy who's girlfriend dresses him." Jamal said making me pissed off.

"WIMP!" Jaxon yelled

"FOR THE RECORD PEOPLE HE PICKS OUT HIS SHIRT TODAY! I WANTED TO GO WITH THE GREEN TO HIGHLIGHT HIS EYES." Jasmine said getting pushed away lightly by Ruby.

"AND WE NEED NEW TEXTBOOKS! TO REFLECT THE TRUE HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY!" Ruby said scrunching his face up.

"Books? More homework? Hm. Some of us have other things to and people to do." Jamal said as I scoffed.

"No shit sherlock. We get it you got tons of bitches but that don't mean shit. You had one loyal one which was me and you blew it." I said as Jamal squinted his eyes at me indicating he was mad.

"FINE! Let's talk about performance." Jamal said uncrossing his arms.

"YES! Please." Ruby said looking at Jamal

"Or lack thereof. Freeridge needs someone who can stand up for them. Someone coooome through in a clutch. Someone who won't go soft in the heat of the moment. How's he gonna satisfy y'all when he had to bring in another girl to satisfy his own girlfriend? Who has a threesome and can't get some?" Jamal said as the football boys and everyone laughed besides Ruby, Jasmine and I.

"I'm done! I can see." Ruby said

"Seriously? You're not even going to wait for the vote?" Jamal asked

"No, you got this in the bag. You took my votes and my dignity. Congrats." Ruby said walking off.

"What happened to you?" Ruby asked before leaving.

"We coulda used this" Jasmine said running off

I started to walk off until..

"JADE WAIT!" Jamal yelled. I turned around and walked up to him.

"JAMAL, DO YOU SEE WHAT YOU'VE DONE?!THAT MEANT EVERYTHING TO RUBY AND YOU FUCKING KNOW THAT! HE'S ALWAYS WANTED THIS AND YOU TOOK IT FROM HIM." I said stabbing my finger into his chest.

"When are you gonna come over?" Jaxon asked me.

"When you stop being a 7th grader." I said looking him dead in the eye and then turning back to Jamal. He had the folder in his hand. He opened it. It was a picture with Juanita, Jamal and I cuddling. He looked up at me and I looked at him.

"That's how we used to be before you started fucking bitches" I said walking away

Later on I was at the house. I got out of the shower and got dressed. I grabbed my car keys and drove to Oscars because I was supposed to see how him and his wife were doing.

A little bit after I was in the kitchen as they talked to each other in the living room. We started hearing banging. I grabbed a gun off the counter and Oscar grabbed one also. She stayed inside while we went outside.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" Oscar yelled as we pointed guns at them just to find out it was Cesar and The Santos hitting and banging up his car. We lowered our guns and walked closer to them.

"You don't think I can handle my own shit? That I don't know what I'm doing?" Cesar said as I scoffed knowing Oscar was right. Cesar doesn't know shit about business in gangs. Oscar knows not Cesar. I wish Cesar would grow up a little bit and realize he isn't all that.

"That's not what I said!" Oscar said trying to get out of the situation.

"No, what you said is I don't know how shit works. That I don't see what's coming! Let me ask you something damn clown." Cesar said banging once on his car with a bat. I rolled my eyes knowing he's throwing a fit over something his brother said.

"YOU GOT SOMETHING TO SAY JADE?" He asked me, getting closer.

"Just the fact you are acting like a 7 year old throwing a tantrum." I said scoffing.

They kept talking to Oscar. Until I saw the hurt in Oscars face as Cesar kept getting closer. They all left and I turned to Oscar.

"I'm so sorry Oscar" I said pulling him into a hug.

Time skip to the party at Jamals

I went to Jamal's party that he invited Ruby and I to. Ruby is supposed to come later. I walked into his backyard and found him right away. I noticed how bored he looked and I wrapped my arms around his waist. He turned around quickly making me drop my arms.

"Hey Jade! I'm glad you made it." He said keeping a straight face.

"I'm glad you apologized to Ruby." I said giving him a slight smile.

Suddenly Jaxon walked up next to us. I scooted closer to Jamal. They started talking and I realized how shitty Jaxon was. Let me explain my backstory with Jaxon.

After I found out Jamal cheated on me and we broke up, I started talking to Jaxon for a distraction which wasn't it. We ended up having sex and then he ghosted me.

"I feel like I really know you" Jaxon said tilting his head up talking to Jamal.

"What's my middle name?" Jamal asked him.

"That is a trick question, you don't have one." Jaxon said as Jamal opened his mouth acting shocked. Jamal grabbed my hand and we walked away until..

"HEY MAN, WHERE YOU GOING?" Jaxon yelled at Jamal.

"I gotta apologize to my friend"

"Yo dude, we're cool" Jaxon said thinking he was the friend.

"You may be cool but I'm not." Jamal said

"And by the way his middle name is Terry." I said as we walked off.

We walked to Ruby's house to talk to him. Turns out he wasn't there. So we started talking to Abuelita at the table.

Time skip

Ruby walked in and Jamal and Ruby started fighting. Abuelita and I started eating to see the tea. Right when Jamal said,

"Did you know there's six type of vaginas?"

I walked out of the room and went into Ruby's room. Suddenly Jasmine texted me.

Jas 💕💕

Jas 💕💕: Jade, Ruby broke up with me.

Me: What?!

Jas 💕💕: He said I'm too much for him.

Me: It's gonna be okay Jas.. ❤️

Jas 💕💕: Thanks. Talk tomorrow?

Me: Yep.

After more than two years.. they broke up.
