chapter twenty-three

3 weeks later..

I woke up and got dressed. I saw a text message from a random number. It was video.. a video of Jamal kissing the girl who has been following him. I broke down into tears.. for Jamal I couldn't believe he would do this. Oscar walked in my room.

"Grab a swimsuit. We are going to the pool." He said looking at me

"What's wrong?" He asked sitting down next to me

My phone was still on and I had the text message open too. Oscar grabbed my phone and played the video. After he watched it he pulled me in for a hug.

"Things will get better. Don't cry over a boy who does that.. be a better you. Show him what he's missing." Oscar said

I went out of my room and Oscar was at the table. Cesar was talking to him and I mouthed to Oscar "don't tell him what jamal did"

The crew still doesn't know Jamal and I are dating. I mean obviously there is signs of it but Jamal had sex with Kendra (the girl who was stalking him) and now I don't even know if I want to date him any longer. He doesn't know I found out I'm pretty sure otherwise he would be texting me.

Oscar and I got into the pool.

"Shit Jamal is here." I said

"Don't worry about him. Now I have to go play with Jasmine." He said swimming away

Later on I was with Jasmine, Oscar, Cesar and Monse at the Carnival. Oscar had his arm around me while we all walked around.

Later I got a video of Kendra and Jamal having sex again..
