CHAPTER 19: An Order

Grayson slides one hand in his suit pockets. Using his, or rather Colton's stolen technology as Pierce opens as many photos as he could possibly find on the woman in red and Candidate Zero. They were surely linked, yet it was Candidate Zero who, instead of just observing like the woman in red...he both harms and protects.

"Like the time with the fire at the abandoned warehouse. He protested her but ran off. Wanting to maintain a concealed identify, but still act controlled by the woman in red. She always has at least four highly trained guards with her. Whatever Olive obviously has planned, has to be big enough to lure these people in, get them moving, get them making ballsy decisions." Grayson says, tossing an apple between his hands.

He looks to me from where I stand with my hands in my caramel brown business one suit pockets. Pierce looks over to me. I change the screens, "We'll focus on details of those targets later, for now, events involved in Crane Enterprises. I know something is used within that company and I know I have rights to it. Where is Alexander?" I ask, gesturing to Celeste, who gives me a dirty look.

I study her, "Your heartbeat changes when I speak of his name and it's not in love. What is it?" I ask her, roughly.

"I have no idea what you're talking about." She says to me, shoving off the table.

I step forward, "What is our differences? I don't even know you. All I know is that you flirted with my fiancé when he got here, you've dated Alexander Crane, off and on relationships from what I can see and your Father is the one who initiated the shot that ruined my fucking life, so instead of walking away, you're going to give me the answers I need, Celeste." I say to her, roughly.

She turns to me while everyone watches our interaction, "The fact you don't even fucking remember anything just shows that none of it was memorable, Libby. You were always the centre of attention, always so secretive. I know what my Father did was screwed up, but all you've told people is that you were tortured. Cut open, beaten, bruised...and yet all of them here are so damn happy to be ruled under your thumb, ordered and all. I don't fucking understand why you claim to hate being a leader so much when you're obviously that of a natural-born. We were sisters. I knew everything, I even knew about Westlake's obsession with you just because you were better at his job, just because we are far more advanced. You seriously don't remember anything about us." She growls at me.

I stare at her, "Just what the hell are you talking about?" I ask, slowly.

"You have a scar on your left shoulder, how do you think you got it?" She asks me, pointing toward my shoulder.

I furrow my eyebrows, "So, what does that have to do with anything?"

"You and I, Libby. You and I." She says to me in menace.

I straighten, staring at her, from her sharp blue eyes to the brunette curls, "I don't understand. What do you want me to say? I can't even remember Pierce, or Fern...or any of them, Celeste."

She shakes her head roughly, "You never called me Celeste, not even Cele. If you can't remember, I'm not fucking helping you with anything, even your idiot brother." She says, strutting away from me and down the stairs.

I turn to Aaron, "I thought you said I didn't know her." I say to him, confused.

His eyes penetrate mine, "There is no information regarding you two, no connection, only that of your brother." He says to me, slowly as he folds his arms. Thirteen yawns behind him, I snap my eyes to her, before seeing the dark rings around her eyes, pale complexion...only no one else seemed to notice, not even Four.

I furrow my eyebrows, "You're going through withdrawal, aren't you?" I ask her, slowly.

She snaps her eyes up, "No, I'm fine." She says immediately.
