Entering the now-familiar colorful room again, Y/N follows behind Sae-byeok as they pass the door.

Lined up in order are Sang-woo, Ali, Mi-nyeo, Gi-hun, 001, Sae-byeok, Y/N, Ji-yeong, 244, and 196.

In the center of the room, five people were hanging from their tied-up wrists; four staff members with a triangle, a square, on their masks with a fellow player in the middle. Player 111. Their outfits were all bloody.

Y/N softly gasps, clasping a hand over her mouth.

"Players, what you witness before you is what remains of those who broke the rules for their own benefit." A deep voice says from the loud speakers.

"They tainted the pure and fair ideology everything here has been built upon. Each and every one of you is considered an equal within the walls of this facility. You must be guaranteed the same opportunities without being disadvantaged or facing any kind of discrimination." The voice continues.

The players all watch with wide eyes, looking up at the haunting scene.

"We truly apologize for allowing such an unacceptable incident to occur." He apologizes as The Blue Danube continues playing lightly in the background.

The players eventually continue their journey to the fourth game, Y/N clenching her teeth as she walked on with an uneasy feeling in her gut.

The players are all back at the bright dreamy-like room from before.

Y/N catches onto Mi-nyeo tapping Deok-su's shoulder as she walks ahead. She hears Deok-su sigh.

"What's wrong? Are you sad? Why? Is your connection dead?" Mi-nyeo mocks, and she walks off without letting Deok-su respond.

"I'll kill that little slut." He mutters to himself. Y/N silently watches as he walks off.

"Players, welcome to the fourth game. For this game, you will be playing in teams of two. Please look around and find someone you wish to play with. When two people agree to play together, shake hands to show you have become partners. Let me repeat the instructions." The woman on the PA announces, and Y/N follows behind Sang-woo as he and the others walk somewhere.

"There can only be two players per team. You will have ten minutes to find your partner." She adds.

The players glance towards their friends and acquaintances, sharing each other short looks.

Y/N purses her lips, eyes darting to Sae-byeok, then to Ji-yeong, then to Sang-woo.

On the timer, nine minutes and twenty seconds count down.

"Hey, handsome." A recognizable feminine voice calls, and Y/N watches as Mi-nyeo approaches Gi-hun. Y/N sighs, pushing herself to sit down on the steps nearby.

On the back of her head, Y/N feels a hand playing with her hair, and she cranes her neck a bit to see Ji-yeong sat behind her. The girl gives her a little smile, and Y/N smiles back, turning once again to Mi-nyeo.

"Let's do this, huh? I'm better than you think. And I'm stronger than most guys too." Mi-nyeo continues, jutting a finger on Gi-hun's chest. Gi-hun doesn't say anything, only sighing.

The others watch the hopeless woman try to convince the man.

"Guess what? I know how to con just about anybody I see. I'm not a genius but I still got it work out. Huh?"
