Chapter 6: Waiting For Death

(Kaede's POV)

I often find myself being dragged to places by Kokichi, but this time was different, probably because it was eight at night. But he's still dragging me, so I have the right to complain by tradition.

"Ouma-kun! Where are you taking me this time??"

"I need to show you something, now shush!"

"At least tell me where it is.." I mumbled under my breath. He walks really quickly, and if I can't catch up, I fall because of the way he's holding my shirt.

We end up behind some bushes at the back of the school, and he motions me to sit down with him.

".. There's nothing here?"

"Look up, dumbass."
I instinctively looked up, and there were stars, lot and lots of them. We even has a perfect view of them from where we are.

"Woah, they're so pretty from here!"
We sat there for a while, occasionally throwing jabs at each other whilst appreciating the stars lighting up the night. Eventually the night time announcement played, and we started walking back to our dorms.

"Kokichi?"

"Mm?"

"Thank you for taking me there. It was absolutely beautiful."

"Not as beautiful as you~"

"E-ehh!?!?" I felt my face turn hot red.

"Nishishi! It's so cute seeing you blush!!"

"It's not funny! Ehhh >////<"

"Shit."
I stopped blushing in surprise to his sudden mood change.

"What happened??"

"We forgot to hang out with Shumai today!"

"Fuck."

"Woah! Kayayday swearsss!!" Anddddd he's back to his usual self.

"That can't be surprising. You've heard me curse before!!"

"I know! It was a lie!"

"What does that even mean?"

"Uhh.. itdoesn'tmattergoodnight!!" He sprinted into his room and I heard the door lock. I sighed and decided to go straight asleep tonight.

I swear there were more bears the first time, but it's just Monokuma. What does ursine mean?? Maybe Kokichi knows. Also--

"What!?!?!?" I opened the door before the person on the other side could knock again.

"Kayayday!!! I was honestly expecting a warmer reaction buuut, oh well!" Right, of course it was Kokichi.

"Ugh, sorry, I just woke up."

"Not forgiven! Anyways, wanna walk to breakfast together?"

"Yeah, of course!"

"Okay! C'mon, let's go!"

"Ouma, Wait!" He gave a confused look before I decided to drag him this time.

"Kagaede! Stop right this instant!"

"I'd rather not." I winked at him from behind.

We got to the dining hall and I stopped dragging Kokichi, and he playfully punched me in the arm before swinging the doors open like he always does.
