chapter thirteen

Your pov

"Where will you go? He won't be there for you-" she said looking at me "-and you have no one to begin with" she said looking at Rapunzel "what did you do to him?" I asked glaring at her "that criminal, is to be hanged for his crimes" i gasped "no"

"Now now, listen to me, all of this is as it should be" she said walking over to Rapunzel. She wanted to pat Rapunzels head but she grabbed Gothels arm, stopping her "no. You were wrong about the world and you were wrong about us and i will never let you use my hair again" Rapunzel spoke as Gothel tried to get her arm out of Rapunzels grip. She finally did but knocked over the mirror, shattering it as it fell.

We walked over to the hatch to leave. I heard Gothel mumble something inaudible.

Eugenes pov

I was dragged to the exit but tried to escape with no luck. I gave up and walked with the guards when i saw a tiny ceramic unicorn on a ledge on the way out. Suddenly the door slammed shut, then all the doors surrounding us slammed shut, giving us no way of getting out.

"Whats this? Open up" the head guard yelled as he banged onto the wooden door. The little window slid open "whats the password" the old man asked "what?" As he was busy with the old man, the two guards by me were taken from both above and the side door. The front door opened as the head guard turned to me and he was hit with a frying pan, knocking him out "frying pans, who knew right?" I said excited.

More guards came running and we started running to escape. We came to an opening and saw hundreds of guards running toward us. Hook hand then gave me instructions and i repeated them while doing them

"Head down" "head down"

"Arms in" "arms in"

"Knees apart" "knees apart, knees apart? Why do i need to keep my knees apart?" With that i was flung into the air, i kept position as i screamed flying through the air and somehow safely landing on something. I opened my eyes and saw Maximums "you brought them here?" I asked and he nodded "thank you". I thanked him again and talked about how we were maybe just misunderstanding one another.

We then heard more guards and Maximums started running over the small bridge on the walls of the castle. There was no way to escape except for jumping and the castle was too high up. "Max?...max? Max!" I yelled as he jumped and we landed on a roof, sliding down the roof tiles and landing on the ground then ran through the village.

Maximus ran out of the kingdom and over the bridge, we went through the forrest and headed straight for the tower. Once we were there i got off of Maximums and searched for the exit (y/n) got out of the tower with when we first left, when i couldn't find it i yelled "(y/n)! Let me in!" With no answer i started climbing but something was thrown down from the balcony. "Hair?" I asked looking at it. Without further investigation, i started climbing it and got into the tower.

"(Y/n)? I thought I'd never see you again" i said, when i looked up i saw that the hair was connected to a girl in the corner, next to her was (y/n). They were ties to chains and (y/n) was trying to tell me something even with the rag tied over his mouth.

I heard him yell when i felt something sharp stab me and i fell to the floor. "Now look what you've done (y/n). Oh, don't worry dear, our secret will die with him"

Your pov

Gothel chained us up and we waited. She knew that Eugene would come looking for us. When he finally came, she threw Rapunzels hair down for him to come up and stabbed him when he was inside. I screamed, trying to get to him "now look what you've done (y/n). Oh, don't worry dear, our secret will die with him" Gothel said as she walked over to us and started to pull on the chain from behind but i was trying to get to Eugene as tears slid down my cheeks.

"And as for us, we are going where no one will ever find you or your sister ever again" the rag slipped off of my mouth as i fell onto the ground "stop fighting me "no! We wont stop fighting you! We have to save him!" I yelled looking at him. Rapunzels rag fell off too and she spoke "let me save him, i will willingly go with you"

"Well go and stay quiet, please just let her save him!" I said, watching Gothel think for a moment "no! No, don't do it!" I heard Eugene say as he tried to breath through the pain.

"Well never run" i said and Rapunzel continued "well never try to escape" "please" i asked looking at Gothel "everything will be like the way it was"

"We promise" we said together. She let the chains go and used another one to tie Eugene to the stairs. Rapunzel and i went over to him "she's gonna help you, like i told you, she can heal you" i said holdimg his face in my hands. I moved his jacket where he was bleeding and saw the wound. "Everything is going to be okay" i said as i took some of Rapunzels hair and tried to put it on his wound but he kept pushing it away

"Please Eugene, you have to trust us" i said as more tears slipped out "Eugene, i cant let you die" i said and he looked at me "but if you do this, then you two will die"

I shook my head and Rapunzel spoke "it's going to be alright"

"Be quick! I dont have all day" Gothel yelled from behind. Rapunzel and i looked at her as she yelled and suddenly Rapunzels hair fell to the ground, turning brown. We looked back at Eugene "Eugene, no!" Rapunzel watched as her hair changed and Gothel aged but i held onto Eugene, crying.

"Stay with me, please" i said as Rapunzel came closer. She started to cry too because of everything that just happened. I let go of Eugene and hugged her when suddenly a light started gloves from his wound. We let go of each other and looked at what was happening.

He was being healed.
