Truth and Lies (Twice 10th member)

3rd person's POV

Getting Sam out of the hospital might be the one of the hardest thing that they've ever done. Reporters are crowding the main exit and a lot of fans are waiting at the parking lot just to get a glimpse of the injured member and interview one of the staffs, if its possible.

"What are you guys doing?" Sam asks her members because they are putting a lot of stuff to cover her up before going out and they are being weird because some of them are acting as her bodyguard. Dahyun signal everyone that it is clear now to go out of the hospital, the van is waiting infront of the VIP exit. Sam's head has still a bandage and if one of the fans or reporters see it, they're doomed. 

Once they are outside, fans were shouting Sam's name even if they can't see the latter's face because of the scarf, sunglasses and mask that covering her up. Eventually, the girls managed to get inside of the van with the help of their managers, Sam's family is in another van. 

"Unnies?" Sam breaks out the silence once they are on the way to their dorm. 

"Yeah?" They all turn their head at the far backseat since their maknae chose to sit there.

"What happened to the two girls?" They look at each other for the sudden question. Back when they were at the hospital, Sam can't remember how did she end up in the hospital and have a lot of cuts and bruises, and why does her head was in bandage. 

That time, both of Sam's family didn't know how to tell it to her because one, her biological family doesn't have any clue too, and two, twice members was in shock because they were not prepared to this question. Thankfully, the doctor was there and he managed to said that they will tell it when it is right time.

The doctor asks them if he can have a word with the both parties, they agreed and left Sam inside with her younger sister. 

"The patient is currently suffering from amnesia."  The doctor said immediately once they were all outside.

"If she is suffering from amnesia, then why does she remember us all?"  Her father asked.

"Retrograde amnesia. She is suffering from retrograde amnesia, which is losing existing and previously made memories and tend to affect recently formed memories, that is why she doesn't remember what happened." The doctor explained to them as some of them were watching Sam laughing with her sister through the glass window.

"When will her memories return?" Sana asked the doctor and all of them turned their heads to him.

"We don't know. Amnesia is an unpredictable illness. It can be permanent or temporary. The only thing that we can do is that we should not force her to remember the memories she forgot and let herself remember. Excuse me." They gave way to the doctor as they all sighed.

"What do you mean the two girls?" Mina asked Sam as she is in front of her. Sam shrugged at her Mina unnie and, "I don't know, it's just I remembered them being in my living room. So I thought they are our new managers but I didn't see them here."

"You know, I think you're just hungry, that's why you keep on remembering useless stuffs." Momo managed to escape the silence. "Maybe I am.." Sam nodded and snatch her Momo unnie's snack in her hands.

"Hey! that's mine!" Momo whined at their maknae but deep inside, she's happy because the latter has a smile on her smile and her eyes are glowing with happiness. The other members were thankful to Momo because she put a smile on their maknae' face and a glow of happiness in her eyes. The happy smiles were seen at their faces as they were watching Sam and Momo bickering at each other. 

"Maybe losing some of her memories are still a good thing..." Nayeon turned her eyes to Sana who's beside her and questioned her statement. Nayeon was thankful that no one heard it except her.

"Why?" 

"Remember the last time we saw her? Her eyes were filled of hurt and sadness." Sana's smile was slowly fading replacing with a sorry smile, her tears are threatening to fall down. "That's why I'm thankful that she forgot that memory, so that she won't remember the pain." 

Nayeon thought that maybe Sana's right, that maybe...losing of Sam's memories was still a good thing. 

The van stopped and that's their cue that they are now at their dorms. Their dorms was located at a private village so they didn't have to worry to cover up Sam. The two families went straight to Sam's dorm, her mom and her aunts went to kitchen to prepare foods. They told Sam to rest first at her room as they saw her opening the door to her studio, obviously, to work again.

Her members and her cousins chuckled when they heard Sam getting scolded by the oldies. 

"Come here maknae-ah, Jeongyeon unnie will escort you to your room." Jeongyeon put her hands around Sam's arm while walking her to her room. Once they were inside, Sam plopped down to her bed, "How I miss my soft bed...hospital bed was killing my back." Jeongyeon smiled at her member whined, she saw her arms were spread on the bed and her feet were still hanging from the floor. 

"Can I sleep for awhile?" 

"Of course, I'll just wake you up if the food is done." Jeongyeon was about to turn the knob but she called her, "Unnie?"

"Hmm?"

"Can you stay here and just go out after I fall asleep?" Sam sat down while looking at the floor.

"Okay, Jeongyeon unnie will stay beside you until you fall asleep."

The two of them went to bed and once they're lying down, Sam hug her unnie and put her head of her chest carefully. The latter was surprised at the sudden skinship but after that, she put her arm around her and hug her too. She hummed a lullaby and caressing her arm.

Sam's eyes were sleepy and after a while, her eyes were shut. Jeongyeon felt that Sam is already sleeping because of her calm breathing, she slowly removed her arms and get up. Before she go outside, she put a blanket on her and her favorite stuff toy. She patted Sam's arms and kissed her cheek.

"Sleep well our maknae."
