Truth and Lies (Twice 10th member)

XIX

3rd Person's POV

The flight to the Philippines was unclear. Her mind was wandering ever since she left the dorm. She didn't left a letter or even a message to her members and to her managers as she hurriedly packed and booked a flight.

Her cousin picked her up at the airport. The ride to the funeral was so quiet and the only noise was her, sobbing at the passenger seat.

The moment she got there, she can't help but to kneel and cried her heart out, begging for them to come back. Everyone in the funeral saw the heartbreaking scene and was silently crying. One of her cousins comforted her and cry in her arms. 

It's been 2 days since the funeral started however, the idol didn't moved to her seat. For the whole 2 days, she was just seating at the front seat, staring at the coffin and was silently crying. Her cousins were giving her foods and drinks but she just turn it down. 

Meanwhile in South Korea, everyone was wandering why Sam is not showing up for the whole 2 days. The managers already checked her dorm but they noticed that some of her clothes are not there, so they asked the members if they know where Sam is but they don't have also a clue. Some of them tried to called her but they always end up in voice message. Tons of voice messages was send to Sam but the idol didn't even picked up her phone ever since she flew.

Twice members were somehow guilty especially Nayeon for what they did and even tried to secretly called Sam but just like the managers, they end up in voice message. 

Nathan, Sam's oldest cousin, decided to answer Sam's phone when he noticed that her phone was constantly ringing. When he saw the caller ID, it's one of her managers.

"Hello?" He tried not to be suspicious when he answered the call.

"Who's this?" The manager answered with a hint of caution.

"I'm Nathan, Sam's cousin. I apologized if I answered the call but Sam is not available right now. But don't worry she's with us and she's safe."

"Okay I believe you. But can I asked where is Sam right now and what is she doing?"

"I'm sorry but I thought she left a message there for you to be aware." Nathan looked at Sam with a confused face. 

"We already looked thoroughly her room but she didn't left anything." 

'Did something happened back there?' Nathan thought.

"Is that so? Unfortunately, I'm not in the position to say Sam's whereabouts. I hope you understand." 

"It's alright. Take care of her."

The manager ended the call and Nathan sit beside Sam. But the latter didn't pay attention to him. He scanned her face and it breaks his heart seeing his bubbly cousin, mourning for her family. 

"Your manager called." He already expect that she won't answer so he continue.

"She was wondering where you are. I think they're worried, Sam. You didn't left a message there. But I told them that you're safe with us. I didn't told them where you are right now because I know that you have a reason why you didn't left a message to them. It's okay, I understand." Nathan stayed there for a few minutes before leaving her alone. Although Sam wasn't paying attention, she heard all of it and she burst into tears again. 

The manager sighed as the called had ended. Everyone in the conference room was listening to the phone call but they were disappointed when her cousin answered the call. Twice members were tearing up as they are worried for their maknae. Everyone was silent when JYP breaks the silence.
