Truth and Lies (Twice 10th member)

Sam's POV

We arrived in Korea a few hours ago and I'm currently sitting on my bed, waiting for the 12 midnight. I always anticipating for 12 midnight on my birthday as my members always surprised me like this for the years that we've been together. 

I prepared myself when I saw at my phone that is already 11:30 pm and sooner or later, my members might burst into my room, singing a happy birthday at the top of their lungs and clapping like there's no tomorrow. For the past 20 minutes, I've been anxiously staring at the door, thinking a lot of things that could be possibly happen on the other side of the room.

2...

I stood up and held the door knob. I hold it tightly while closing my eyes and sighed, hoping that my unnies will be in front of me with a big smile on their face. I tightly closed my eyes and slowly opened the door.

March 27th, 12:00 AM

The cold breeze of my living room greeted me as I fully opened my door.

No one. 

There's no one on the other side of the door. 

I quickly picked up my phone at my bed and look if there's a message from one of them. But I don't receive from any of them even from the manager oppa and unnies. 

My heart was clenching as I let out a big sighed and a tear came out from eyes,

"No, you shouldn't cry right now. The day just already started. you still have 24 hours to wait." I convinced myself to wait for the whole day and maybe the members just got tired from the flight earlier. But even though how hard I convinced myself, my tears just keeps on falling.

So I just let myself cry the whole night.

I woke up to my constantly vibrating phone. I felt excited all of a sudden considering that my members finally greeted me but it was just Onces, greeting me a Happy Birthday on every SNS. I was about to turn off my phone but Hayoon unnie texted me.

'Good Morning Sam! Happy Birthday! The members felt sorry that they couldn't greet you last night and this morning )): They are on schedule right now and they're not holding their phone as of the moment. But you can impress them later by preparing a dish for them that you always want to cook and let them taste it!! ((:'

Thanks to Hayoon unnie, I got an idea. So I wiped my tears away and prepare myself. 

March 27th, 11:45 pm

It's only 15 minutes before my birthday ends but unnies still doesn't greeted me. I keep on texting them one by one and even on our group chat but still, nothing. Even Hayoon unnie doesn't answer my call neither the other managers. I am so close to crying but I have to hold back just in case they enter my dorm. 

I keep looking at the clock and at my phone, hoping, wishing, they would come.

11:50 pm

I closed my eyes as I released a deep sighed. Even my family forgot my birthday.

I set a camera in front of me to record myself. I smiled at the camera and talked to it like I am talking to the people I love.

11:58 pm

I lit up the candle on my cake and a tear fell out of my eyes as I started to sing a Happy birthday to myself.

"Happy Birthday to you..." I slowly clap as I barely sing.

"Happy Birthday to you..." The tears keeps on coming.

"Happy Birthday dear Sam..." I gulped as my voice keeps on cracking.

"Happy Birthday to you..." I closed my eyes and make a wish. 

March 28th, 12:00 AM

The day ends as I blew my candle. I looked around to the food that I cooked and prepared and none of them were budged. I don't know how many times I sighed but I can't help it, it was the only thing that can make me calm.

I put at the fridge all the foods and the cake. I picked up the camera and went to my room. I put the camera at the study table and staring at it with sad smile. I talked to the camera as the tears starts to fall again. I kept on talking until the batteries died and continue the talk by writing in my diary.

I was about to closed my diary when my phoned beep.

[ALLKPOP]

BLACKPINK LISA HELD THE COOLEST BIRTHDAY PARTY AT YG HEADQUARTERS. MANY ARTISTS ARE INVITED INCLUDING JUNG HOYEON, IKON, RED VELVET, BTS, G-IDLE, JUNG HAEIN, LEE HYERI, AND MANY MORE.

TWICE MEMBERS WERE ALSO SEEN ENTERING THE PARTY WITH THEIR MANAGERS. THE FANS ARE EXCITED TO SEE THE INTERACTIONS OF THESE UNEXPECTED FRIENDSHIPS.

I didn't finished the whole article as my world starts to crash. 

I just kept on crying. Didn't even bothered to stop. Didn't even bothered to sleep.

I kept on crying until I get numb.

I kept on crying until there's no tears left.

I kept on crying until the pains stops.

March 28th, 12:00 PM

I keep on looking down as I wait the lift. One of the managers texted me and said that he is waiting outside. He's the one who's going to drive me on my own schedule as Hayoon unnie is still with my members.

The lift opened and there I saw, Them. Wasted. 

The managers were practically carrying them, even Hayoon unnie. I sighed again and give way to them. The managers were so busy that they don't even took a glanced at me and just went pass by me.

"Lisa's party was a blast!!! whoo!!" Chaeyoung unnie drunkenly shouted as I watched their back. 

I'm glad you had fun on my birthday...

And that's completely fine.

I took a one last glanced at them and enter the lift. 

And tears betrayed me again.
