After we all calmed down from our emotions, Yo, from being shy, Park, Lam and Ming from teasing Yo, Kit from being annoyed with Ming, Pha from satisfaction that his little Yo did everything he could so he can be with him, we continued eating.
"How about we plan something and we can all go together, can you come?" Forth started saying to me but everyone in our table had their hopeful eyes bore into my soul.
"Sure. That would be fun!" – I replied. I believe if I said otherwise, I'll be in trouble. "We really need a getaway vacation with all of this and before the start of the next school year" I continued.
"Great! So, we'll plan something then we will discuss this soon. We all just focus on our exam and after, let's go on a vacation". Said Forth. He looks happy.
Lam and Parks looks excited as well. All of us are. At least we have something to look forward to after our final's week. We are all chatting animatedly and happily just talking about anything. Everyone was carefree and Forth looks comfortable.
"hey, Beam! I was supposed to give you a call but here you are!" I turned around and saw a smiling Pran. Dimple and all. He really is adorable. All eyes were on him but Forth has an unreadable expression.
Gone was the playful Forth and was replaced by his deadly aura now. What if they knew about my link to a mafia? They will not want to be friends with me! I need to get Pran out of here before he started talking. Quickly, Beam! I internally panicked
"Pran! What a surprise!" I said to Pran and turn to the guys. "I will just talk to him outside. I'll be back" I said to them. Forth never spare me a glance and he have his coldness turned to maximum level. Yikes!
"Beam, You are needed at the mansion right now. We just received a call from Art. He tracked your phone and saw you here." They are tracking my phone!!! "Don't give me that expression Beam. We all are being tracked. Both for our security and for anything else we might carelessly do. At least for now it was just your phone. Don't wait for them to implant it to you." He finishes.
"WWWHHHAAAAATTTT????" is all I could say. Pran was laughing his ass of.
"You should have seen your face. No, Beam, we don't implant trackers. Not just yet. But I was serious about your phone being tracked and the Boss needed you now." he said after calming his self. He looks serious now.
"Is everything alright, Pran? The Boss? "I asked feeling a little nervous with his serious face.
"I also don't know Beam. Let's go so we can find out what's happening" He said
"I just need to tell them I'm going first. Stay here I'll be back. Did you bring a car?" I asked him.
"Yeah, but with a driver. We can take your car and have the driver follow us" he said. I quickly get back inside to tell them I'm going ahead but the tension in the air can be cut with a knife when I arrived at our table.
Pha and Kit has a questioning look in both their faces while Lam, Park and Forth has their jaw clinched. I feel sorry for their teeth.
"Shall we go now Beam? Are you done talking with your boyfriend?" – Forth. He said what? Who boyfriend? There was a certain kind of anger and venom when he says the word boyfriend. But I don't have time for this right now. the Boss needed me and I need to go quick.
"I'll send you all a chat in our group chat. I need to go now. Forth, can you just go with Lam and Park I'll drive the car." I know something is wrong the way everyone is gulping their saliva while looking at me and then Forth just slammed the keys into the table. Making it vibrate.
"Pha, Kit I'll call you soon. I have to go." With that, I quickly run to the parking lot where a waiting Pran was, well, waiting. He asked for my car keys and I let him drive. I also don't know where to go so it is better this way but before I got inside the passenger seat, I saw a very angry Forth with a very deadly aura looking at me from a distance.
We arrived at the mansion around midnight I was whisk directly into the basement. The basement was more like a bunker with solid steel for a door. It was ajar and Pran guided me to enter.
There in the basement was Art, Kong and Pat looking somber. There is also a man in a doctor's robe. The Boss is also there and he looks solemn. They are all gathered into a metal table where a body was laid.
"Beam, You're here" The boss said. Looking at me with his sad but with determination eyes. He looks way better than the last time I was here.
"Beam, this is our resident doctor. The Doctor. Doc, this is Beam. The one I'm telling you about." The boss introduced us.
The Doctor offered his hands for a handshake after removing his gloves. We shook hands.
"Let's start, Beam." The Doctor said. Pat gave me a change of robe, gloves, goggles and an apron and they all started to stepped back. Still watching us.
"We want to know what really happen to Mann. Mann is a close friend of the Boss but has mysteriously died. As per the "official" autopsy report from the police, he choked to death but the Boss doesn't believe it. He wants us to dig deeper. You will be my assistant" The doctor explained.
"Yes Doctor." – I said and we started.

We finished after 2 hours. The Doctor being satisfied with our report congratulated me for a job well done.
"If you're not here Beam, it might take me longer. We finished half the time than I normally could. Thank you for being here. The guys here only knew how to take a life or tinker with guns or hack computers." He spoke. I just nodded in understanding feeling drained.
"You should rest Beam, I'll send the report to the Boss. For now, I know you just came from class, so take a rest and we'll discuss this tomorrow." He continued and I just nodded again since I'm really tired.
"Thank you for your hard work, Doctor." I said and started removing my gloves, goggles, and apron. Then the lab coat. Pran was waiting for me and guided me to my waiting bedroom. The same room I woke up before. I bid him good night. I took shower and was in my pajamas in a jiffy. But before sleep takes over, my head was bugging me for an answer of who is Mann?
