My kitten, Gandr, always looks like he is high as balls and I don't know why. I just pet him and he gave me such wide side eyes that I actually felt offended.

                              ~Jimin's POV~
                              "How did it feel?"
Kai looked up from his dinner whenever I asked the question. He looked confused, furrowing his brows and frowning as he tried to comprehend my question.
                              "What?"
"I asked, how did it feel? To fall in love with someone? Then to lose them over something out of your control?"
"You mean...how did I feel whenever I lost my mate?" He asked softly. There was a clear sadness in his eyes whenever he thought about it. "I don't know. Empty. Sad. Depressed...I don't think there is a word to describe the amount of anguish you go through whenever you lose someone you truly love. I...honestly don't remember it too well. I was a hollow shell, from the moment that they told me he'd died. That he'd been taken from me." Kai's voice shook a little, and the corners of his mouth quivered as he tried to smile. "Without Soojin, our baby girl...I don't know. If I had lost her too, then...I don't know. I probably wouldn't be alive." He admitted. "I almost...wasn't. At first...I shunned her. Soojin, I mean. I refused to look at her. I honestly blamed her that he was taken from me. But...over time, I...came to terms with it, I guess. That regardless, she was my baby. Our baby. And she wasn't the one that took my mate." Kai's eyes shifted over to the couch, where Soojin and Jiyoon had curled up together and were sleeping. "So...it really fucking sucks, basically."
I took in a deep breath. "At least he still loved you when you lost him. I can't imagine it. And it's not something to be compared. But...at least he didn't push you away. My mate..." I laughed bitterly. "He doesn't even fucking want me. He's choosing to cut me off, and--"
                              "Stop right there."
I looked up at Kai whenever he interrupted me.
"First of all, don't compare me and my mate to you and that asshole. There is no comparison to be made. He is just a fucking bitch that doesn't want to see how good he could have it. He isn't worth your time, Jimin. He really isn't. You could do so much better than him."
"Yeah." I mumbled. "I know. But..."
                              "Your heart wants him."
"Yeah." I mumbled. "It does. But he doesn't want me back."
"Do I need to go and knock the shit out of him again?"
"No." I said, though I couldn't help the smile that formed on my lips. "You shouldn't."
"Yeah, I shouldn't...but I could is the thing." He said seriously. "Do you want me to go knock the shit out of him?"
                              I shook my head. "No. He's taken enough of a beating. I just...need some time. I don't--"
I paused, my hand going up to cover my mouth. I looked up at Kai with a confused expression, before I bolted out of my seat. Kai watched me as I dashed for the bathroom, and all of a sudden I hacked up every bit of my dinner.
"Fuck--" Kai hissed whenever he saw me from the doorway. "Are you sick? Do you think you got some food poisoning or something?" He asked as he grabbed my cup I keep with my toothbrush and got me some water to rinse my mouth as I threw up.
"N-No..." I mumbled. "I don't--" I paused, only to double back over the toilet whenever I felt another quick wave of nausea.
Kai gave me a look of both sympathy and disgust as he pat me on the back gently, sitting with me as I emptied the contents of my stomach.
