Maia tightened her grip around the cold handle of the gun she was holding, she instinctively sniffed but she quickly remembered she couldn't smell anything. She couldn't taste anything either, they had put a hardshell mask on Maia covering her nose and mouth so it blocked out the scent and Maia couldn't taste anything as they gave her barely enough room to speak with the mask not that Maia uses that scent for tracking but they like to do it just in case.

She had on earplugs as well so she couldn't hear the footsteps around her, she only could use her eyes. Her hands shook as she held the gun by her side, she was planning on purposely failing so they would never give her a gun again but Maia only hoped her punishment wouldn't be too bad, the last time she accidentally failed they waterboarded her for 30 seconds which was the longest 30 seconds of Maia's life.

Maia ducked and put her hand on the floor to feel the vibrations, she could feel the footsteps of someone around her so she ducked behind a prop box that they had set up. Much like the training task before they made this like a maze, but it was with different props each time so Maia couldn't memorize the maze even though with this one Maia didn't have a prize, she had to find the target and shoot them but Maia wasn't planning on doing that.

She took a deep breath before looking around, one part of her senses is that she could see well in the dark which most of her training was in the dark more often than not. Maia looked down at the gun in her hand and clenched it before putting her finger on the trigger so when someone comes by she can shoot them, she knew that they also had guards in the maze as well but Maia wasn't planning on shooting them, she just plans to shot whoever they want her too but in the foot something that the person can come back from.

Before she could think she was grabbed from behind, her breath was knocked out of her chest like a rock. She knocked her head back and she was sure that if she didn't have earplugs on that she would've heard the nose crack, the person who grabbed her grabbed the gun so in a panic Maia squeezed the trigger, she jumped back from the knockback and opened her eyes as she had them clenched shut through the whole ordeal.

She opened her eyes to see one of the HYDRA agents holding his bleeding shoulder looking Maia pissed, her stomach dropped. This wasn't what was supposed to happen, she didn't want to hurt anyone like this. She dropped the gun quickly and back up ripping her earplugs out and unclicking her mask which wasn't a part of the protocol. "I want her dead!" The agent spit at Maia looking behind her to where Joseph and Dana were walking towards them.

"Get your ass to medical!" Joseph pointed towards the entrance that was also the exit. "I knew this would fucking happen Dana, Maia doesn't need to have a gun," Joseph said angrily to Dana who shrugged. "This was the worst thing to happen, Joseph, you suggested this idea so we didn't have to kill the prisoner anyway. Now we know, don't give Maia a gun."

Maia flinched when a gunshot echoed throughout the building, her lip wobbled as she remembered the target she was supposed to get which meant whether or not Maia killed the target they were going to die anyway. They just wanted Maia to do the dirty work so they didn't have to. "I didn't mean for this to happen, you have to believe me, Agent Russell and Agent Lewis." Maia didn't regard them by their names ever but she hardly ever called them their Agent names either so Maia was really begging.

Instead of responding Joseph harshly grabbed Maia's forearm, if she was anyone else she probably would've winced and complained but she kept her mouth closed because she wanted to live. "Is he going to be alright?" Maia carefully as Joseph's grip gets tighter when they start walking down a hallway. "I'm sure." Dana spit as she grabbed her phone from her pocket and texted something on it before looking up after pocketing it.

Maia heard a faint buzz, she looked up to see a giant mechanical door at the end of the room. She tried to hear what was on the other side but whatever it was Maia couldn't hear it which wasn't a good sign. She gulped as Joseph nodded to Dana who walked a little bit ahead of them and grabbed her keycard before Dana entered a code.

She tried to plant her feet to the ground when the door opened. "No, no, no, please. Please, I'll be good." Maia begged as she was forcefully dragged towards a tiny cell at the end of the room. Unlike her other small cell this blocked Maia from every sense that she had, it was dark, it was soundproofed so Maia couldn't hear when people were going in and out of the room. "You shot an Agent, so until he's out of the infirmary you are staying here," Joseph said to a begging Maia who kept repeating that she'll be good.

She was thrown into the cell harshly and the door clanged shut behind her, she crawled on the cold ground towards the door and started banging on it. "It was an accident! I'll be good!" Maia screamed but her voice just echoed through her cell. Maia slumped by the door and pulled her knees up to her chest, this was worse than being waterboarded, this was hell.

Maia's lower lip trembled as she wondered how long she would be in here, she wasn't even sure if she would get food or not. She wiped her nose on her sleeve and placed her hand flat onto the door, she was trying to feel for vibrations but tears sprang to her eyes when she couldn't feel or hear anything. She was trapped, and HYDRA had the key.
