Maia Linden glanced down at the folder before looking up at the street sign, she didn't know why they wanted her to stake out Marion Hollande. The address they had on file was still active and she was still there well it was obvious whoever Marion was, she was an older version because in Marion's file that Maia got a filtered copy of, was a young teenage Marion but the person who lived at the address was around the same age as Maia and she seemed to have a little girl with her.

Not only was there a little girl living with Marion but she seemed to have a lot of kids coming in and out of her house, but according to her file, she was a social worker. If Maia can remember correctly they helped children, they were supposed to at least.

Maia sighed as she adjusted her glasses on her face before taking a bite out of the sub that she ordered from the corner deli, she used a fake name of course she wasn't dumb. The glasses not only strengthen her sight and made so she can see like they were binoculars but without the bulkiness. She pressed her lips together and swallowed as she watched Marion guide the little girl into the house before she looked around with a smile.

She opened the file again before her eyes looked over the giant red stamp that said do not interact, but something in Maia told her she should, and considering they lied about having someone following her she could do it and no one would know but she doesn't even know why HYDRA wants something to do with Marion Hollande, all that was in the was that Marion was a fail, she was escapee whatever she was HYDRA. Maia knew that Marion was a problem which is probably why HYDRA would like to keep its eye on Marion and it explained why they gave Maia the job because she was the best.

She didn't look out of place unlike the other HYDRA soldiers, they all carried guns and looked dangerous but Maia didn't do that. She just disappeared into the background which is what she was good at, she's never been noticed and she isn't starting now.

Maia jumped when something hit her foot unexpectedly, she looked up to see the little girl that was just paraded into the house by Marion walking slowly over to her. Maia pushed the file into her shoulder bag before kicking the ball away from her, she was trying to escape because she can see Marion coming out of the house looking for the little worried.

"You look pretty." The little girl commented making Maia freeze her tracks, how long was the little girl watching her, did she notice her the whole time or was it just now? Maia thought herself before she watched as the girl was waiting for Maia to reply. "Uh, thank you. Shouldn't you go to your-" Maia was cut off by Marion running towards them with a worried look on her face. "Goodness, you scared me, Shan. I turned around and you were gone." Marion grabbed the little girl and propped her on her hip before kissing her on the cheek. "Sorry Mommy, I just wanted to grab the ball but I accidentally kicked it and it hit this pretty woman." The little tucked her face in Marion's neck in embarrassment. "Well, next ask me. Thank you for not being weird." Marion chuckles, Maia nods and tucks her hair behind her ear before waving at the two of them and backing away.

That was close Maia thought to herself, she got out of talking to Marion but not to the little girl and she was not going to mention it in her report. Maia opened the car door that HYDRA gave her to stake out in and she grabbed the file out of her messenger bag before looking at the file in the bag which was for her to fill out. She grabbed the pen that was in the cup holder and started filling it out.

Is it Marion Hollande? Yes

Is was she alone? No

If not, who was with her? N/A

How different does Marion look? Older

Did you talk to her? No

Were you seen by anyone? No

Maia put the pen cap in her mouth before nodding, she was satisfied that she filled out everything they wanted to, she lied but no one would know that. She made sure she wasn't seen on any security cameras even when she was at the deli getting a sandwich. The deli guy didn't see her face, he tried but Maia grabbed her sandwich and walked away before he could see under her hat, she was careful but now the little girl, Shan. Knew her face, but chances are Maia was insignificant that she would forget and Maia would just be another person in the shadows.

She put her bag in the passenger seat before starting the car, she didn't know the address of the place where she called home but she had a drop-off location. It was a garage one that was one of the many things that HYDRA owned. She was told to wait there and someone would come to get her taking her back to the compound where she was held. Maia remembered before she was with HYDRA Maia and her sister would sit in their parents' laps up front and pretend to drive, she also remembered that they fought over who would be in control of the music. Maia smiled as she thought of the memory, her eyes flickered over where the stereo would be but found nothing. Her smile faded as her hands tightened around the wheel.

Maia sighed as she clicked the blinker on and pulled into the garage, the door slammed shut behind her after she pulled her car in and Maia was plunged into darkness. She let her head rest on the seat and closed her eyes, now she waits.
