Maia didn't know how long it has been but she jumps when the door starts to move open, she squints when she sees the bright lights on the other side of the door. "Come on, you can get out of there now. The Agent is out of medical." Agent Locke said holding the door open this his arm while gesturing for Maia to get out of the cell. She gulped and shakily stood up, as soon as she was in arms reach Agent Locke grabbed her by the forearm making her wince slightly but she held in the protests.
"Where are we going?" Maia says quietly when she notices they aren't going towards her cell. "Medical, we need to make sure we didn't kill you." Maia knows what Agent Locke is talking about, she already gets limited meals but instead of three meals like she gets in her cell she only got one meal that wasn't very big but Maia knew it was packed with protein because she could taste it, HYDRA wasn't known for their meals and they made that known.
Maia nods looking at the grip on her arm, it was taking a second for her senses to get used to being out of the box so she hoped that she wasn't going to be in Medical for too long because she was starting to get overwhelmed with all the sounds and scents. She's been around those before but when your senses are suddenly gone then brought back just as suddenly it's jarring, just like it's jarring for Maia.
Ben raises his hand and knocks on the medical door when they come to a stop. "Come in!" Doctor Cobbs said loudly making Maia flinch, she could see Agent Locke smirk as he opened the door, which meant he saw her flinch. "Sit here." Doctor Cobbs instructed bluntly nodding his head towards the exam bed, Maia knew that they were here about her weight so she wasn't sure why she needed to sit down on the bed first but Maia never argued.
Doctor Cobbs grabbed his stethoscope and listened to her before looking in her ears and mouth. "Okay, step over there." Doctor Cobbs pointed to the scale, Maia could tell that they told him to talk slightly louder to make Maia more overwhelmed which meant they were still upset with her. Maia took a breath before getting up and walking towards the scale, it was an old slide scale so Doctor Cobbs slid the indicator over. It was better than Maia thought it would be, she was picturing a much bigger weight loss and by the look on Agent Locke's face, he was too.
Agent Locke rolled his eyes as Maia stepped off the scale, Doctor Cobbs wrote something in her chart before nodding to Ben who grabbed Maia's forearm firmly and started to lead her to the door. "Glad the act in solitary didn't fuck you up too much. Would hate to have to kill you." Ben Locke spoke sharply, he was trying to get a reaction out of Maia but he let out a sigh when Maia didn't even look in his direction as he forcefully dragged her towards her cell.
As they walked everyone kept staring at Maia, it wasn't uncommon but she supposed that she looked specifically bad today because she couldn't see much of what she looked like in a week. Ben nodded towards another Agent and Maia heard the screech of her cell door being unlocked and opened. "Have fun, you need a shower." Ben tossed her into the cell, Maia used her hands to catch herself so she wouldn't hit her head.
She resisted the urge to sass telling him it was their fault she needed one but she knew that wouldn't go over well so she kept her mouth shut and stood up carefully. She walked towards her bed and reached under the mattress for the hair ties that she kept stockpiled, they knew she had them but no one ever said anything Maia figured that they knew it was better to have a puppet that could see than someone who couldn't.
Maia closed her eyes and took a deep breath before she heard footsteps walking towards her cell, her senses were getting used to being around things going so she didn't flinch when the voice on the other side of her cell started to speak. "Step back!" Dana said loudly to try and make Maia flinch but it didn't work. "I'm away!" Maia replied putting her back against the foot frame of the twin bed she sleeps on.
The door started to screech as Dana told someone to open it, before Dana could even say anything Maia held her hands out for Dana to put the cuffs on. "About time you learn how we work around here." With a tiny hint of a pleased smile, Dana puts the cuffs around Maia's wrist and grabs her forearm sharply to lead her towards the showers.
Maia was worried about the reason that she hasn't seen Joseph yet but Maia was just a tiny bit grateful that they gave Dana her today while she showered instead of Joseph who openly ogled at her body which made her uncomfortable. Maia stopped in front of the shower doors as the agent scanned her card and opened it, Dana tugged her inside and motioned for Maia to give her, her hands which Maia did.
When she clicked the cuffs off Maia rubbed the marks that were appearing on her skin before walking towards the stall and turning on the water while she undressed. "You got 5 minutes," Dana said before walking towards the bench and taking a seat on it. Maia closed her eyes and let the water run down her face before she started to scrub her head with soap.
Maia didn't know how much time was left when she stopped the quick shower but Dana didn't tell her to hurry up so Maia quickly got dressed and she was almost finished brushing her hair when Dana stood up from the bench and started to walk towards her. "Hands," Dana said plainly, Maia sighed quietly before giving Dana her hands, with a click the cuffs were back on Maia's wrist.
