For the number of times that Maia has flown in a helicopter, you would think she would love heights or at least be used to them but that's not true, she's terrified of heights but she pushes the fear down and makes herself look ahead. As a part of her missions she's suited in everything she needs, she even has pepper spray after a run-in with someone she was tracking but she refuses to use weapons which works out because HYDRA refuses to give her one. "Now remember, you got 24 hours then we come after you alright? We're always watching you." Agent Ben Locke says sternly handing over the file to make sure Maia knows her assignment even though they went through this before.

Maia grits her teeth and nods. She didn't doubt that they had people following her secretly but she's never seen them before but she figures that's why they were chosen for the job to follow her. "Alright, so I need to find this Bucky Barnes right?" Maia reiterates to Ben who rolls his eyes and shakes his head. "No, you are finding The Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes does not exist, not anymore." Ben presses some buttons on the helicopter and tosses Maia a backpack. "Put that on," Ben growls so Maia quickly straps it to her back putting the files in a secure spot making sure the backpack is zipped shut.

While Maia was putting the backpack on she didn't notice that Ben had pressed a button that made her seatbelt unbuckle. "Alright, what now?" Maia questioned quietly to Ben who had a smirk on his face. "Pull the tassel." Maia looked at Ben confused, Ben smirked as he pushed her out of the helicopter.

Maia screamed as she was falling but she soon realized what he meant, she panicked as she reached blindly trying to find the string but she tugged on it hard when she found it. She got jarred when the parachute caught in the wind but she let out a sigh of relief when she didn't hit the ground.

She crushed Ben in her head, she could bring this up to the other Agent's but she knows that nothing would be done about it HYDRA wasn't known for being kind to its prisoners which is what Maia was. She hit the ground, landing on her knees. Pressing her lips together she took the backpack off and started to roll the parachute up so she can stuff it back into her backpack.

Maia looked around and was surprised to see that she landed in an empty field, she opened her HYDRA-issued STAT phone and it showed her she was in Washington D.C, only a little bit of a ride and she would be at the White House. Maia gulped and grabbed the file that was in her backpack, it showed CTV footage of The Winter Soldier- no Bucky, Maia corrected herself in her head walking around with a ballcap and jacket on, like that's going to do anything Maia thinks to herself as she scoffs. She fastens the file back into her backpack and starts walking, according to her STAT phone there is a bus stop right around here so she can catch a ride and go from there.

As she waited at the bus stop she saw a lead, it was a sign advertising Smithsonian's Captain America exhibit, if she was Bucky that's where she would go if she wanted to learn more about herself. The bus slowed to a stop in front of her, she smiled as the doors open. "Hi, does this stop near the Smithsonian?" Maia smiled at the driver who looked at her for a second before nodding slowly. "Yes, but only the Air and Space Museum as it says on the sign." The bus driver nodded towards the sign that was on the side of the seat that Maia didn't bother to read.

Maia turned around and looked at the sign again, she smirked when she realized that was exactly where she needed to go. "Here." Maia gave the man 20 dollars before walking towards the back and sitting in the lone seat by herself.

She took a deep breath and grabbed the earplugs out of her backpack, they were given to her to make sure her senses weren't overloaded after it sent her into a panic attack and HYDRA couldn't take her out on missions for two months, so this was more for them but Maia was grateful for them. Maia closed her eyes and tried to relax until she smelled something sweet. Her eyes snapped open and she looked around, but before she could do anything about it the bus came to a stop.

Maia let out a sigh of relief and took out her earplugs slowly, she winced when she heard the voices come in her ears all at once but after a few deep breaths, she got used to it. Maia got up and walked quickly brushing past people trying to get off the bus but before she could she found the one who brought cookies onto the bus, she squinted at the paper that the woman had in her lap and saw that it was regarding a child. A social worker, Maia's mind supplied for her.

She let out a sigh of relief when she was let off the packed bus, she looked around for the entrance to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. She chuckled to herself when she realized the bus stop was right across the street, she weaved past people looking behind her a few times to see if she could catch anyone following her but Maia gave up quickly because if she was being followed they were blending in well which didn't happen to Maia, she didn't miss people ever.

Maia pushed the door open and was hit with the smell of metal, she took a deep breath and mentally pushed past the metal smell to try and open her other senses to help her find Bucky easier. Maia walked towards the guide that was posted on the wall and ran her finger across the names until her finger stopped at what she needed, the Captain America Exhibit.
