---------------------"so we are going on a boat ride?" elliott asked as they ended up by the giant boat, "well you've been stressed these paat few days, why not calm down on a boat ride" he shrugged, walking up the ladder to the room were the steering wheel was
"this is weird, ive never seen you like this rafe" elliott was slightly unconvinced of this act. he was being to nice, no way he was volunteeringly doing this.
"i'm bored too" he shrugged, also keeps her far away from issac, he didn't forget about their little bet, there was never a time with the girl that the thought didn't cross his mind
elliott sat in the passenger chair, looking straight out into the distance, the sun was still rising, making a pretty sunrise.
Rafe admired the girl, he was scared to think this bet was becoming more than just sleeping with her and he hated it. He hated the way his stomach twisted at the sight of her, the way he got his words mixed up talking to her, but it also felt great showing her off to everyone he knew
Pogues especially even if they didn't have a clue about the two. Elliott was the one girl in rafes life he cared so much about, minus his sisters. He didn't want her out of his sight
"why you staring lover boy?" She asked, running a hand through the mess of her blonde hair, wrapping her arms around herself as rafe started up the boat, "just thinking" he told her, partly true.
"Ok there's no way i'm just here because you want company, there's no way rafe, what's the real reason?" She questioned, looking at him. He still faced forward, driving the boat forward
because i don't want issac to win the bet. That and i can't handle you being away from me. Ya i kind of like you maybank, can you believe it?
He just kept those thoughts to himself, "not everyone's using you maybank, some people actually enjoy having you around" he told her, eyes focused, not wanting to stare at her, he was scared if he did he would just slam his lips against hers
The erge to kiss her was growing more and more as time went on. "Rafe is this the coke talking?" he caught his breath. Why the fuck would she think coke?
"what the fuck? no, not one bit, i'm telling the truth" He spat out, elliott just scoffed and looked the other way, "i'm going to get these secrets out of you, i know there's more than just wanting my company rafe"
probably want to get in my pants, elliott thought to herself
Little did elliott know, the same butterfly's that woke up in her stomach every time she saw the boy were happening to him too. She couldn't take it, that's why she kept asking, contemplating on whether his words about wanting company was true or not
she knew his reputation, rafe doesn't get close to girls, he just uses them for one day and boom they were nonexistent the day after. She never left, she never felt nonexistent, he was like a magnet that she never wanted to disconnect from
his face was so hard not to kiss, the way he glowed in the sun, his blonde hair silked back perfectly to act like this perfect daddy's boy in reality he just wanted someone to love him. His rosy cheeks were darker today from the cold morning
"this is peaceful, i like it out here" she sighed out, looking at the blonde next to her, he nodded in response, "i always go on the pogue out here, just laying down and inhaling the sun when i'm stressed"
Rafe looked next to her, hand still on the wheel, "i usually take my bike out and just drive, wish it wasn't illegally to not wear a helmet, i would be so much more happy if i didn't have to wear a helmet when i ride"
"you like fresh air i'm guessing?" she questioned, "yea" he simply replied, "i need the air after i'm done babysitting those 4 teens who are running around causing trouble" the mention of the other pogues got rafe listening closely
"do you know where they are right now?" he asked, drumming his fingers on the steering wheel, "so you wanted me for information on my brother and his friends?" she raised her voice
no, no, no, why is she mad?
his mind just started constantly spinning, "what no? it was just a question, you've been spending less time with them" he managed to speak, not stumbling over his words
"there doing what any normal teen is doing, having fun" her breath caught, she never got to experience normal teen life.
"mkay, it was just a question, please don't hate me" his voice softened, "god you are a sucker for me rafe cameron, you just got all soft on me" she stiffed out a laugh
the boy just shook his head, but he felt the tug at the corner of his lips, he just forced it away though, no way was he going soft for this girl. Or he was just telling himself that even though he knew deep down he was
Elliott was now humming, rafe recognized the song and found the radio, turning it on hoping the song was playing. And it was, when she noticed it her face broke out in smile as she made the boy drop the anchor
"now rafe, we have this whole boat to dance in all day, make it count" she smiled, turning it up so the whole boat was blaring music. Rafe watched as the blonde girl was lip singing the lyrics to what ever song was playing, acting like her hand was a microphone
he chuckled slightly, still sitting in the drivers seat. Elliott huffed and took his hand, dragging him up to sing with her. She let go and walked backwards, dancing her way backwards was more what she was doing
"cmon lover boy, let's see those dance moves" so that whole day was spent on the cameron boat, far enough away from shore where people couldn't see them but they could see the poeple, two people who were slowly falling for each other dancing, singing and no care in the world. No hatred, just pure happiness.
