Instant Regret [Eros POV]

[Eros- Lisa]

I tap the hand grip of the weapon Jennie gave me as I try to calm my nerves

I've never been in a serious altercation before

I've been in petty school scraps before, but never a real dangerous, life threatening, soul extracting, mind-

"Hey Lisa?-I take it back" Jennie says calmly, not looking at me

Huh? She takes what back? That she wants to date me? That this isn't a date? That last option is kinda ridiculous

"Take what back? That you want to date me?"

"No. I don't want you here- you'll only slow me down" She says, gritting her teeth

Thank god

"What Mistress is trying to say is that she doesn't want you here because she is worried that you'll get hurt" Lucas chimes in, making me smile

Butterflies arise in my stomach as I look down

She's worried about me. . 

"Aww- cute, but I'm not going anywhere" I say, smiling at her

Lucas tenses up in the corner of my eye as he turns to Jennie

"Mistress, we should go now- Iapetus is awakening" he says with his hand on his own weapon

shit shit fuck fuck I'm gonna piss myself

I tap heavier on the weapon as my nerves catch up on me

What if I do slow her down? What if she gets injured for me and I can do nothing about it?

"We'll be fine. Just no matter what, do not follow me or attempt to come near me" Jennie says seriously

I gulp slightly as I stare ahead, wanting to nod but I'm not sure my body could handle such movement right now

I unknowingly reach out and grab Jennie's hand

"Lets go shall we?" I say, sounding a lot calmer than I actually am- maybe it's because Jennie calms me

Jennie lifts my hand to her face and gently kisses it, making me swoon slightly

"It'll work out- I promise"

I watch as Jennie's body gets thrown into a grave and the building behind her

She looks out of it as she tries to open up her eyes

I grab my sword and slash through one of the tiny gargoyle looking things Iapetus summoned to keep us busy

"Jennie!" I shout out, getting ready to run over to her

I watch as she opens her eyes and duck a fatal looking attack from Iapetus

"Don't come near me!" She yells back

"Lucas, we need to give her something to help her fight against him!" I yell, watching as he effortlessly slices through several gargoyle's 

He looks over at me and nods, summoning up a separate sword

A loud crack draws our attention over to Jennie and Iapetus, and the sight makes my blood freeze slightly

Jennie seems to say something that pisses off the titan, who then growls and leans back to swing his giant sword into her head

Just as he leans back Jennie slides in between his legs and runs into a clear space

"Throw her the sword!" I shout to Lucas

He nods and runs opposite Jennie, throwing the sword which she luckily catches

Skidding to a halt she stands in a fighting position as Iapetus pulls his own weapon out of the brick wall with a large tug.

"This- this is where you die Goddess of War- but before I kill you" He trails off and points his sword to the right of Jennie

My eyes go over and I see a lonesome grave with some dead roses on

Huh? Whose is that?

Jennie visibly freezes, and she starts to grow in size too

"She's turning into her form" Lucas mutters, stepping next to me

I gulp slightly as her eyes change into a deep shade of red

"Lucas- take Lisa out of here" Jennie yells

I look at Lucas and shake my head, trying to move but it's useless. He grabs onto my waist in attempt to drag me back, but I dig my heels into the ground

"Jennie I'm not leaving!" I yell, trying to get Lucas off me

"lucas please" I beg, trying to move

"Get the fuck out of here Lisa or I'll kill you myself!" Jennie spits

A quick sharp blast shoots through the air, and before I know it we're back at the front of the grave site

"Jennie!" I shout, trying to run back in

Lucas once again grabs my arms and pulls me back

"Please, Mistress has a plan but you need to stay put- just for 5 minutes"

I let my body drop to the ground as I try to fight the urge to just go back and grab Jennie

After what seems like hours a blinding light shoots into the sky, and I spot Iapetus flying through it with a grin on his ugly ass face

"Jennie" I whisper, scrambling up and running through the entrance

It doesn't take me long to get back to the mess that we made, and once I do I spot Jennie laying lifelessly on the ground

My heart drops and a bile rises in my throat

This can't be happening

I run over to her body and try to listen for a pulse

"Jennie?!" I shout, tears freely running down my face as I shake her body

Her limbs move freely in my arms, causing me to hyperventilate slightly as I try to wake her up

Her head is slicked with dried and wet blood, and there's a large gaping wound on her chest

"Please Jennie, please don't go yet" I sob, holding her close to me

I hold her for what seems like years, sobbing into her shoulder before I hear breathing in my ear

"Let go of me Lisa"

I jump back in fear as I see Jennie's eyes flash a dark red

She sits up and looks around- eyes meeting the now fallen grave

"Mistress, are yo-"

Jennie cuts Lucas off with a simple hand as she stands up, shaking slightly

I go to help her but she pushes my hand away

"I'm going to Saturn." She says simply, disappearing in a black and red fog

What the actual fuck?!
