lol i thought this would be silly. i saw the prompt and i was like...it's literally for them

Idk if this needs a tw but tw slightly abusive parents?? Idk they're just really strict and kinda verbally abusive.

"Ah, you're home. Have a seat," Ennoshita's mother said as her son walked through the door. Ennoshita had just gotten home and he was going to be given a lecture. Great.

Ennoshita took off his shoes and went over to the kitchen table where he took a seat as instructed. His mother pulled out his report and sat it on the table then slid it over for Ennoshita to see. He picked up the paper and read his grades. He had all A's, as per usual, except for in algebra II. He had a 89%, so he was only barely at a B.

He peered over the piece of paper at his mom, not understanding what was going on. His mother only scowled at him as if he was supposed to understand immediately. When he didn't say anything, she sighed and snatched the paper out of his hands.

"You got a B, Chikara. You've never gotten a B," his mother said while pointing at the B on the piece of paper. Ennoshita was aware that he had never gotten a B before, but he didn't think that it mattered. It was only barely a B, and his mother should know that algebra wasn't an easy subject.

"Sorry mom, I've been trying to get better at volleyball and-" he began, but he was cut off.

"Aha! So it's that volleyball that's holding you back!" His mother stood up and slammed her hand on the table, "Chikara you know that I've been wanting you to quit that sport ever since you started!"

Ennoshita knew full well that his mother didn't approve of his extracurricular activities, but when she saw that it made his grade in gym class exponentially better, she let it slide. Now that she had "proof" that Ennoshita wasn't benefitting from the sport anymore, she would most certainly go to the ends of the earth to get him to quit.

"Mom, please, it's really only one percent away from an A, I promise to bring it up!" Ennoshita pleaded. He really didn't want to quit now that the team was actually getting better. That, and it was the only time he ever got to see Tanaka, but that's besides the point.

His mother turned away and held up a finger to shush him. There was no convincing her. She always did this when she didn't want to argue, and Ennoshita usually just backed down and compiled, but today he had had enough of being a good kid. His mother seemed to be going to hell and back to take away what he loved just so that he could meet her expectations.

Ennoshita had played the part of being a good kid up until now, and it was time things changed.

The next day at school during lunch break, Ennoshita found Tanaka and grabbed his hand. While Tanaka was flailing around asking about what was going on and trying to break free, Ennoshita led him to an empty classroom. When he finally arrived, he threw Tanaka into the classroom and walked in after him, closing the door as he did.

"Ouch...I didn't know you had such a strong grip...anyway what's this all about?" Tanaka asked, surprisingly chill about the whole thing. Ennoshita sighed and crossed his arms.

"Date me."

Tanaka's face turned red immediately. Ennoshita struggled to keep his own face from taking on the same tint after he realised how what he just said sounded. He smacked his own forehead as if it would get his thoughts in check.

"Sorry, didn't mean to say it like that, let me explain." Ennoshita found a chair and took it. He sat down and crossed his legs, straightened his back and placed his hands on top of his knees. This was the exact position his parents had taught him was the "proper" way to sit.
