Sugawara POV

"Tanaka your receives are ass."

"Noya that hurt."

"What!? it true and you know it."

Mondays. I walked into the gym for afternoon practice still feeling as tired as i was in the morning. School doesn't seem to wake me up like it used to. Macaroni crafts and glue in my eyes, i miss those days.

"Okay you guys let's not today, i've got a headache," I intervened between the two. They nodded and started whisper-shouting about asses and receives and blah blah blah. I found my way to the changing room, changed, obviously, and got back out only to see...

"KAGEYAMA YOU TOWTRUCK, GIVE ME MY WATER BOTTLE," the orange haired boy often referred to as Hinata shouted.

"PFFTT WHAT KIND OF INSULT IS THAT?? ALSO NO, YOU DONT DESERVE IT," the taller yet probably more immature first year sneered back. Hinata jumped onto Kageyama in an attempt to get his water bottle back. the latter almost toppled over before i caught him.

"Guys break it up! can't we be like...i dunno peace love and plants for a day or two?"

"no," they said in unison. Sometimes i think they shared a brain cell.

I sighed and just walked off to grab a volleyball and start practicing.

We still had about 25 minutes left of practice when Kageyama stopped and told us that he was leaving early.

"I have to go help my mom make dinner, i'll stay later tomorrow." You see, the funny thing is that he went in the opposite direction of his house.

I didn't want to pay any mind to it, but i kept thinking about it. Why would he go in the opposite direction? what was there? there was...a fish bait market? no...a bowling alley? why would he want to go bowling?

"SUGA TOSS TO MEEEEEEE!" Hinata practically shrieked. My eyes shot opened as apparently they were closed, only to find the ball coming straight for my face. I quickly tried to set it, and i did, but not without the ball smacking into my nose.

The ball landed on the other side of the court after Hinata spiked it and i held my nose. it wasn't bleeding, i was sure of that, but it didn't particularly feel great.

"Nice spike," i shouted to Hinata, albeit sounding a little nasally. Daichi looked in my direction and shot me a questioning thumbs up. I began to nod 'yes' except he noticed my hesitation. He came over to me with all his big thigh glory and put his hand on my shoulder.

"you good? i saw the ball hit you in the face, what were you thinking about?" he knew me way too good. i sighed and looked him in the eye.

"ya'know how Kageyama left early?" he nodded, "well he went in the opposite direction of his house." Daichi's eyebrows furrowed and he chewed on his bottom lip as he looked to the side.

"What ever in that direction?" he asked after a few seconds, "i mean there's like a bait shop but other than that-"

"exactly!!" i might've spoken a little too loud because i literally saw Nishinoya's ears perk up.

"What're we talking about lads?" he asked as he sauntered over not-so-discreetly.

"Kageyama," Daichi answered, "he didn't go in the direction of his house so Sugawara and I were wondering as to where he had gone."
