chapter twelve

As we reached a door,Maya turned the door handle to reveal a very beautiful room that everything inside is almost purple.

At this point, I can't hide my surprise and I was looking for a word to compliment her room.

No no don't say anything. Just keep quiet and don't disgrace yourself. My subconscious yelled at me inside my head

"Oh wow. Maya is this your room?" I asked.

"Yeah it is" she answered

"Your room is...is just wow" I finally said

"Thank you" she blushed.

There are three teenagers there and I smiled at them

I took my seat on a chair.

"Uhmm,Khair, meet my cousins, zulaihat,Habiba and malika" Maya introduced and I have nothing to do except to smile and wave which I did

"Zulaihat,Habiba and malika,meet my best friend, Khair"

Awww she called me her best friend. That's so sweet.

They all waved at me and I don't know when Maya went out.

Now we are in the room with awkward silence. After like two minutes, Maya returned with a lady in uniform following her holding a tray.

The lady kept it in front of me and left without a word. It was drinks with spring roll and cupcakes

"Please eat" Maya told me sweetly and I just nodded.

"I think you should stop talking and go change now" malika said to Maya eyeing me.

Huhh.....what was that for?

"Its not yet time" Habiba informed.

"But...." Malika started saying but was interrupted by Maya

"Please malika don't start and it not yet time please" Maya said coldly

"Fine. Ughh" malika huffed and stomped out of the room like a rude child.

"You are been sweet with this your new 'low class friend' and you're rude to malika" zulaihat said emphasizing the statement 'low class friend'

Zulaihat stood up,glare at me and stomped out like malika did.

I haven't say anything since I arrived at this room and these...these overgrown brat had the guts to say I'm low class.

I'm not angry. Just annoyed

"Don't mind them Khair"Habiba said smiling and I nodded and smiled back.

I started eating the spring roll and drinking some soft drinks.

" come look outside"Habiba offered and I stood up and walked to the window.

"Wow" I gasped. The view of the garden is simply breathtaking.

There is an amazing fountain at the front of the garden. The ground is completely with green grasses and flowers surround the fountain.

Round tables and chairs are placed neatly on the grass.

A purple cushion is placed like four feet away from the fountain. Glass table is placed in front of the cushion

The DJ has placed there stuffs near the entrance to the garden and has already started playing soft songs in low volume.

We stayed there looking at the garden and everyone's movement for almost thirty minutes until we are interrupted by Maya

"Huh guys. The party is starting in half an hour and I haven't get ready at all. Help me" Maya said in a panicked tone

She bought out many long gowns for us to help her select. She finally went with a dark blue gown which I suggested for her.

She picked the remaining gowns and went to her closet to change.

"You guys should come and see" Maya shouted from the closet and we rushed inside.

Habiba and I froze upon seeing her with our mouth forming 'O' shape.

"Oh my God" Habiba whispered

"Holy Jupiter" I whispered also

"What's wrong?should I change it?" Maya said with worry

"Nooo shut it. You look breathtaking" Habiba said now squealing.

"You are...you look takeaway" I complimented and she blushed

"Me that was hoping to find boyfriend today but its now hopeless. All the boys will be drooling if they see you" Habiba said pretending to faint and we all laughed.

"Let me summon the makeup artist" Habiba said and left the room.

Maya and I went out of the closet and I sat on the bed while Maya sat in front of her mirror wearing her fine heel.

Habiba came in with a woman carrying a large box. She put it down and opened it showing different make up stuffs even the ones I have never seen.

She started doing wonders on Maya's face and in less than twenty minutes,she was done and Maya was looking mua.

We complimented her and she blushed.
"Come sit here Khair and get your make up done" Maya said.

"No I'm good." I rejected with a smile

"Come on. You look awful you know. So get your ass here" Habiba said playfully and I gave up and sat on Maya's chair.

"Make it simple please" I said to the woman and she nodded.

She didn't take much time on my face since I wanted it simple.

After she was done,I turned to the girls and they were like oh my God! I think I  looked somehow nice.

Maya put her crown on and she look majestic. She walked down the stairs like a princess with me and habiba by her side.

We stayed by the entrance to the garden and habiba rushed to tell the mc something. She rushed back and smile.

"Attention everyone. Please welcome the one and only daughter of Alhaji Isa, the princess and the celebrant of the occasion, Sumayyaaa" the mc announced through the speaker and Maya stepped outside.

Everybody's head shot up and applauses are now everywhere.
