(Set any time after Sam and Freddie broke up)
It's after school Freddie and Carly are walking back home. Sam didn't show up that day. They've all been worried about Sam. She's been quiet. Eating less. And not showing up at the shay's as much as she did. She'd show up their occasionally shower and stay for the night and by the time the rest woke up she was gone. Carly was worried sick about her blonde best friend. She has bitten her nails all the way back and they don't look pretty anymore even with nail polish. She didn't know what was wrong and she just wanted that light and mystery in her life again. A day without Sam was dull and a week was a misery so you could guess how 6 months has been. Carly was trying to keep her perkiness up but it wasn't the same without Sam she'd cry at night cause she knew something serious was up with Sam she would call the police to find her but Sam's good at hiding. Especially if she doesn't want to be found. Freddie still loved Sam no doubt about that and he knew well he thought he knew everything about Sam but he knew deep down there was still some things he didn't know and that killed him that he didn't know that. He has noticed things about Sam now that he didn't notice 2-3 years ago. She stopped wearing shorts. Sure it was cold in Seattle. But that never stopped Sam . Even in the summer now she wore jeans. She never wore T-shirt's without a jacket or a long sleeve. This was a big red sign to Freddie and if he saw her enough he'd mention it but he knows she'd run again. He doesn't love Carly even though he asked her and he regrets saying that he just wants Sam back. His Sam. The two walked into the shay's apartment and saw Spencer holding Together a sculpture. Sure Spencer missed Sam but if he was glum there was no way Carly and Freddie would keep trying to be happy so he had a big smile plastered across his face as if he was the joker so noticeable as a fake one.
Spencer- hey kiddos. Sam show up today
Carly- no
This was the first word Carly has Said since they had left school and they could hear the shakiness in her voice. Carly gave up hiding.
Carly- I miss her somethings seriously up I know Sam there's something up and I don't know what but it's serious I can just tell life isn't life without sam are fridge is still full of food that has barely been touched there's no crumbs on the floor or Sam's made up bed on the sofa or the floor there's no shouting of sam and Freddie arguing as much as hated them arguing I miss it I want it back I want sam back.
Carlys in tears and Spencer runs and hugs her
Spencer- she'll be back
He didn't know if he was telling this more to himself or Carly but everyone needed sam back.
Freddie- she will she will be back Carly.
Carly- I need sam.
Freddie- I'll search today how about that
Carly- text me if you see her
Freddie - will do
Freddie walked out the shay's but before he went looking he went home. As he walked in he shivered. This wasn't like his mum to make the apartment so cold. It was usually at an average temperature so he wouldn't get to cold or too hot. He felt wind. Ah she must of left the fire escape open. He thought. He walked over to the fire escape. That's when he saw the love of his life sitting over the edge of the fire escape legs dangling of the edge her upper chest lent on the bar stopping her from falling it was raining outside today she was soaked. Her hair still curly as anything. He loved that she was all natural it was his favourite thing about her. He texted Carly before moving anymore telling her to come but be quiet. He heard Sam whisper why does life have to be so hard. That's when he knew Sam was crying. He'd never seen Sam cry. He was so sure she had no feelings. He knocked on the window to the fire escape. Sam didn't bother turning around he grabbed an umbrella. And put it up and sat on the garden chair behind Sam he didn't want to sit next to her and startle her.
