As he came closer my heartbeat started to increase. I just stayed still like I was sleeping but I was able to hear his footsteps. Everybody went home and nobody was here. I was all on my own. I thought that this was the end of me but, God had something special for me. He injected me with something and as he was going out someone came and knocked him down. He then came close to me, placed a kiss on my forehead and said, "Hello, love." And before I could say anything I was unconscious. I was aware of my surrounding and what was happening but I wasn't able to move and this time it was not anesthesia, it was something that that man injected. It was poison. I was in so much pain and my wolf weren't there with me. He gave me a poison that would kill my wolf but I was powerful and I just had to chant a spell and I would be back to normal. I could feel two boys holding my hands and they both gave me a warm feeling. And I felt like it's now or never. I chanted the spell and I was back to normal. I opened my eyes and I sat right straight up. I turned to one side and saw Diego holding my hand and when I turned to the other side, I was just shocked? It would be a part of what I was feeling, shocked, stunned, rage, sadness, I felt like crying. It was Augustus. Augustus Juan Bartley. But nobody else could see him because he was having a cloaking spell on and only one person could do it. My mother. That means that my mother was also in on this. I felt like slapping him. The cloaking spell was then removed and he was visible to everybody. Byron and Noah, who were standing at the door, came running towards him and held him up by his collar. Diego was confused towards the behaviour of my brothers. For me it was like a blast from the past. I couldn't handle it. I had to get out of the hospital. I said, "Wolfie, can you please take me out of here?" He said, "Okay, butterfly." We kept these nicknames the day before when we were talking. He took me out and I asked my brothers to calm down and talk like gentlemen but they weren't going to listen to me. I just said that don't take the anger out on Diego you can do anything you like with Augustus. We sat at a bench outside the hospital and stayed quite for a few minutes and then Diego broke the silence and said, "Who was he?" with a concerning look on his face. I tried to ignore the question but I thought if I had to gain his trust, I had to tell him the truth. I must not tell lies*.  I replied, "He was my ex in the year 1760. He was the sweetest guy I had ever met. I had just gotten out of an unhealthy relationship and he was there to comfort me. He was a vampire. Indirectly I was the one who turned him. He was there for me on my every step in my life. We dated for almost two years and then he proposed me. He didn't care that I was a wolf and he was a vampire." Diego said, "But you must have had a mate, right? What happened to him?" I replied, "Yes, I had a mate. In fact, he was your ancestor. He was killed in a battle between me and the dark wood pack. It was all my fault. I should have paid more attention towards him. That war was also started because of me. I still blame myself for this, but when I met you, I thought that God had something else planned for me. So, after my mate died, I never believed that I would have any second mate so I just stopped believing in all of that and started to mess around. But I never had sex. What happened between us was special for me, it was not a one-night stand for me and I think that there is something between us. I think that you are my second chance. MATE." I finally said it. I finally said that word after I don't know a thousand years. He was shocked at first but then his face came back to normal just with a biggest smile on his face. He said, "I thought that.... I was the only one who felt like this but you did too! Just to confirm this let's unhide out scents?" I nodded and thought that just a second wouldn't hurt, right? No, I was wrong, so wrong. As soon as I unhid my scent, I attracted all the witches, vampires and werewolves. This was a mistake, a big mistake. I knew that if I kept my scent unhidden anymore I and the normal people would be in big trouble. I had a few extra-ordinary powers even when I was a witch. I could make a bubble around us and nobody would be able to see us, smell us or hear us. After making the bubble, I said, "Now we can talk freely and nobody would come to us. I used my powers to hide us. You can still smell my scent." He smiled and said, "Yes, I can smell, Lavender, mint and rose." I thought, 'Yes! I was right! He is my second chance. Now, I just need to confirm it." I said, "I knew it! Now, you unhide your scent and I'll smell it." He unhid his scent and I continued, "I smell...."
