Chapter 11: Kai Wood

When I was thinking what I should do, I got an idea. I heard the direction the enemies' voices were coming from so I followed it and threw that bomb in their hideout. 20 people were there, and all were blown to tiny pieces of flesh. I sighed and then went back to the mansion. Everybody was waiting in the garden for me, including my dad, Noah and Byron. They both followed dad everywhere in which I was involved. As I went closer to them, Noah and Byron came closer and started shouting at me but this time in English. I was surprised because whenever they were furious, they would shout at me in German. Well, good for me they weren't furious.

"DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU WERE DOING, BELLA?!"

"Well, yeah. That's why I threw that bomb from where it came from."

"(sighs) This was the last time you do something like this, promise?"

"I promise I won't do this again, big bros." They both hugged me and then said, "There's someone who wants to talk to you." Then they moved aside and I saw Diego. I just said, "Diego, I am sorry I can't talk to you right now. I need some time to process all that has happened today. I can't forgive you now. When Nova said your name, I was heartbroken and when you mind linked her and told her that you specifically told her not to tell me, that just left me speechless. That made me believe that I was just a toy for you, I was just someone you thought you owed me. You never meant those three words that you told me in that hospital room. And one more thing, you don't owe me anything." I walked away from him and sat in the car. I was driving the car this time and we went to our home. I thought that it was time that I started taking responsibilities that an Alpha of the pack have. I told my father, "Father, call the pack. I think that I am ready to be the Alpha of the pack only if you are ready to step down." My father smiled and replied, "I knew, Bella. I knew that this day would come soon and yes, I am ready to step down. I'll mind-link the pack and call them next week. Until then, you will accompany me to all the meetings that will be discussed regarding the pack." I then sighed but then he continued, "Isabella, I am proud of you." I have waited for my entire life to hear these 5 words coming out of my father's mouth for me. 'I am proud of you'.

The next week passed smoothly. I attended the school but I was avoiding Diego. I still wasn't ready to forgive him. The time I wasn't at school, I was attending all types of functions, ceremonies and meetings for the pack. Father had already called all of our pack members and told them to come to mystic falls the next week. He told them the reason too. They were also ready to accept me as their next alpha. If I became the alpha my father would be changing a lot of rules of the wolf community like a girl can't be an alpha. But he didn't give a damn about the rules. All the packs had to join the ceremony where I'll be announced as the new alpha of the crescent moon pack, even the silver moon pack. After the bomb attack, Mr. Lopez and my dad talked. They decided that we shouldn't break our years of alliance for this reason. My father thought to give them another chance and our alliance was still intact. And due to this I had to see Diego's face in every meeting that I was going to because he was the next alpha of the silver moon pack.

With this schedule, 6 days passed. Now, tomorrow was the ceremony. More than half of the pack was already in town but the person I was waiting for wasn't here yet. Leo. My best-friend. He is two years older than me but still we relate. He also likes music and he likes to do everything that I like to do. He also didn't have many friends and wasn't social. I was nervous as hell for tomorrow. Only Byron knows how nervous I was. I was pacing around my room. I couldn't sleep at night. Then the day of the ceremony came. I had to get ready because this ceremony was kind of a ball dance. First the guests would arrive, then we would dance and then the ceremony would take place. The ceremony was just a combination of spells. Then we all would turn to our wolf forms. But I don't know how I was going to do it. But I thought maybe I would because I would be the alpha. I had to wear a black dress, wear heels, which by the way I had never worn, and I didn't know how the hell I was going to do that but I did it anyway. Everyone had arrived and were waiting for me. I sighed and said in a low voice, "I can do it!" I reached the stair case and I could clearly see Diego. He was looking so good that day that I couldn't stop looking at him. I searched the room and saw Leo standing in a corner. I mind-linked him and said, "Hi, bunny." He then looked around the room and then started walking towards me. I started walking down the stairs and everybody's eyes were fixated at me. But my eyes were at only one person. Leo. He was wearing a black suit. He was looking hot but not as hot as Diego. He had a major glow-up after he became a vampire. He had a sister but he and she didn't get along. Her sister and Kylo were friends. And most of the time when I and Leo hung out, they both would hang out. As I reached the floor Leo came and hugged me while Diego was just standing beside me. I had already told all the things that happened in the past week while we were calling everyone for the ceremony. He knew that Diego was standing right beside me. That's why he kissed me on my forehead. We went to the dance floor and I danced with Leo.

While I was dancing with Leo, Diego was staring at us. I could feel his eyes on us. Then he came and asked me, "May I have this dance, Isabella?" he remembered not to call me butterfly. I replied with a yes. To make Diego more jealous Leo said, "I'll find you later, buttercup." That was an idiotic move, even for Leo. Then we danced. He didn't say a word. But then he broke the silence saying, "How are you, bella?" I replied, "I'm good." But then someone entered and I had no words for them. The darkwood pack's leader. He had the courage to show up at my ceremony, even when he knew that he was the biggest enemy of mine. I stopped the music and stood in front of him. Everybody's eyes were at us. Then my father, mother, Byron, Noah and Diego came and stood behind me. Kai said, "Diego, it's good to see you again."
