The two boys were standing in the living room, not having decided on what to do. The faint drops of the rain and the rattling of the windows could be heard. The wind whistled and thunder cracked.
The two coworkers stood face to face, just looking at each other. Neither had the strength to look away, however, the silence was deafening.
Jeongin couldn't handle it anymore, he wracked his brain to say something and thought about things Chan liked.
While Chan gazed at the pretty features of the younger, internally chewing himself out for liking such a young boy, whose innocent mind he had tainted. He could not handle the quietness either and thought about offering something.
"You said you-"
"Would you like-"
Both had spoken at the same time, and pausing at the same time to let the other continue. This caused the younger to let out a small cute fit of giggles and look away shyly. He brought his hands up and wrapped them around himself, looking at his feet.
Chan felt his cheeks burn up at the awkwardness, he stood stiffly and rubbed his hand on his nape and tried again "Would you like something to drink? Tea? Coffee?"
Jeongin let out an adorable shy smile "Tea would be fine, I've had enough coffee to last me a whole year"
Chan smiled, embarrassed, he inclined his head.
Jeongin followed his crush into the kitchen, the older began boiling water in the kettle and fished about for the tea bags.
Jeongin's eyes followed his boss' every move. He looked at him with great respect and love, but only when Chan's back was faced towards him.
The stillness was about to settle in once again so instead, he decided to start a conversation.
"Hyung, what do you do in your free time?" the younger questioned with genuine curiosity.
"Hm? Oh I have a few hobbies here and there"
"Like...?"
"Creating new recipes or trying, keyword, TRYING, to make beats and producing"
The younger's eyes widened in shock, now the older had his full, undivided attention, "Woah! Really?!"
"Yeah, I could show you once I'm done with the tea"
Jeongin smiled brightly and did the cutest little tiny jumps while clapping his hands like a kid.
"I would love to see more of your creations! The mocha cake recipe was yours and I loved it, so I'm sure I'll love this too!"
Chan laughed shyly, as he poured the water into mugs and dipped in the tea bags, handing one to his guest "Don't keep your hopes up high Innie"
"I'm sure they'll be good Hyung, Don't worry"
With that, Chan led the younger upstairs where the rooms resided, they walked past beige walls and empty bedrooms, until they reached the end, to the mini-studio.
