xiv. for narnia
THE TELMARINES RUSHED FORWARD, preparing for the battle. Caspian rushed onto his horse as Selena stood at the arch with Edmund and Peter.
The catapults started soon after that, the group watching as the Telmarine soldiers charged on them.
Peter counted down in time with Caspian who was below them, preparing to take out the ground and destroy the Telmarine army.
Selena wasn't nervous as they stood and watched the army approach, she knew the protocol. When he reached ten, Peter held his sword up.
The floor collapsed from underneath the Telmarines, their first line of defense falling into the caverns below. Selena chuckled as she watched them panic, hundreds of soldiers falling into the ditch.
She looked at the sky ad the arrows were released, hitting and killing as many Telmarine soldiers as could be released.
She grabbed one of the horses nearby, climbing onto it as she headed into Battle, watching Caspian and the other Narnians approach from below.
Selena fought, slicing them clean off of their horses before seeing Edmund and Peter fighting them on the ground.
Another legion of Telmarine soldiers on foot approached, the griffins flying ahead as they carried archers. But the Telmarines had advanced catapults that nearly took them all down.
"Back to the How!" Peter exclaimed, but the Catapults took down the entrances to the How, leaving them vulnerable and without an escape.
Selena looked at them with shocked, watching as the platform Susan was on collapsed. She dismounted her horse and rushed to Caspian and Peter who prepared for the rest of the fight.
Edmund and Susan came over, the five heading into battle with the Telmarines. She kicked one in the chest, knocking them over before stabbing them in the chest.
It felt like eternity as she fought against them, striking down as many as she could with her sword.
She watched Caspian get knocked over before she rushed over, stabbing the other man with a sword before holding her hand out.
"Need any help?" She asked but the distraction ended in him being knocked back into the broken hallways of below.
Selena gawked as the trees came to life, their roots picking them up and crushing the Telmarine soldiers. Caspian managed to climb back out again, watching the Narnian victory.
"For Aslan!" Peter yelled out as they rushed into battle, watching the Telmarines retreat towards Beruna.
Selena and the army followed them down until they stopped, seeing Lucy and Aslan approach from the other side of the river.
With Aslans roar, the water grew into a person, pulling the Telmarines off of their horses and knocking them into the water. The Telmarines scampered away, Selena smiling at the Narniam victory.
After the battle was over, they helped the Telmarones out, promising peace of they surrendered their weapons to the Narnians.
Selena and the other four approached Aslan, all of them kneeling down. She was awestruck as she saw Aslan himself in the flesh, the great King.
"Rise, kings and queens of Narnia," Aslan said and Peter, Susan and Edmund all rose to their feet, Caspian and Selena staying down.
"All of you," he said when he realised that they weren't standing up.
"I do not think that I am ready," Caspian said, still bowing his head slightly as he talked to Aslan.
"Its for that reason I know you are," he said before turning to Selena, "You have protected Narnia, you deserve the title of queen,"
She looked up at him, a worried expression, "I'm not quite sure about that one," she said with a chuckle, the two standing up.
Bagpipes played as the mice approached, reepicheep being carried on a stretcher before Lucy rushed over to heal him.
He gasped as he sat up, realising he had no tail. Aslan granted him the tail back when the other mice talked behind him, "Not for the sake of your dignity, but for the love of your people,"
"Thank you, I will treasure it always," Reepicheep announced, everyone chuckling at his adoration.
"Now, where is this dear little friend you've told me so much about?" Aslan asked and Lucy gestured to Trumpkin.
He roared, Trumpkin looking over on awe at the lion as he was summoned over, bowing his head.
"Do you see him now?" Lucy said before looking at Trumpkins horrified expression.
