Lillian

I shot up out of bed at 6 am I see the bed wet I felt a sharp pain like period cramps but much worse, I Waddled to the bathroom to check and clean myself as I realised my water broke I tried waddling downstairs as I stopped before the step and groaned at the pain I took a deep breath as I walked downstairs as I got to the living room and another sharp pain ripped through as I screamed gripping on the table as the contraction started hitting I breathed in and out as I tried looking for my phone in which I wasn't able to find because I left it upstairs I waited for Victoria to come she would come around 7:30 it is currently 7:15 I gasped as another contraction hit I groaned as I breathed in and out as awaited patiently after four minutes the contraction come again I gasped praying that Victoria would come I teared up wishing Dylan was here to hold my hand and hug me I just needed his comfort.

As I gasped the front door started moving I saw Victoria walking in I gasped

Lillian- it's time

Victoria ran towards me as she grabbed the hospital bag and took me out of the house she got into the car as she started calling my parent and Nate I screamed as I gripped onto the car seat in front of me I breathed in and out

Lillian- ho- how L- Long
Victoria- were almost there have you timed your contractions
Lillian- the last time I check I had a four-minute gap before my contraction happens
Victoria- you are doing great

I gasped as the car come to a halt Victoria got out and led me toward the reception she started to yell for someone to help as a nurse come rushing in with a wheelchair the pain of my contraction come through I gripped onto the wheelchair armrest as I focused on my breathing the nurse led me to the labour and delivery ward I was led straight into a room where the nurses started checking up on my vitals and my contractions.

A few hours later

My contraction has become sharp and closer as I got the shot of epidural in my back I groaned not able to focus on what is happening the doctor was preparing everything as I was close to delivering the babies. I allowed Victoria to stay with me as the rest waited outside.

A few minutes later

It was time as I was positioned ready to start the nurse checked in on the baby vitals as she started getting ready it took all my strength to not push before the nurse told me as I gripped on to Victoria's hand she kissed my forehead I screamed as the nurse shouted to push I pushed out and then I stopped as I laid back tired and exhausted I look over at Victoria

Lillian- I can't do this
Victoria- yes you can honey you are so strong

As they prepared me to push one last time I put all my strength as I got ready as soon as I heard the nurse tell me to push I pushed with all the power I had as I screamed I laid back hearing the cry of one of the babies I cried as Victoria hugged me I laid down as the nurses went to check the get the baby weighed and clearness up

Nurse - congratulate you had a baby boy at 9:45 Am

As the nurse started getting ready for the second baby delivery the nurse went to check the baby heartbeat as she looked concentrated she told me to turn as I followed her instruction.

Nurse- that odd the baby's heartbeat is a bit low

She made me turn back as the realisation occurred on her face she rushed to some buttons as she pushed one everything hit at once as nurses and doctor rush in my heart sunk as I kept yelling at the doctor to tell me what going on Victoria was pushed aside as the doctor put a mask on my face I started feeling hazy as I looked to see Victoria in different clothes. I looked up to see a curtain covering my stomach I asked what's going on unable to move as the feeling of my organ being moved around and stuffed I was so confused I looked to the side when I saw Dylan I smiled As he kissed me and whispered "you are doing great I love you" I smiled as tears threaded through as I blinked he disappeared and the sound of a baby cry was heard as I cried wanting to have contact with them I heard Victoria telling me I did a good job as I laid down getting stickers up I can feel the threat going through but no pain I was numb still as I wait to be finished so I can get the skin to skin contact with my babies.

A few hours later

I got up I looked up and realised I was no longer in the delivery room I looked around to see dad and mum on the sofa holding one of the babies and Victoria holding the other one as Nate look at them as pain shot through my abdomen I groaned Victoria looked up as dad come I've to me and give me a kiss

Dad- congratulates
Lillian- what happen one minute I was delivering the baby the next minute I was panicking.
Victoria- well the baby's heartbeat was slow and the nurse realised the umbilical cord was wrapped around her head so they did an emergency c section

I nodded as I registered everything that occurred I felt a tear roll down, I was in my thought when my mum come up to me and kissed my head she handed me the baby boy as I kissed him.

Lillian- Adrien Louis

As everyone smiled I kissed him and put him on my chest the nurse started teaching me about how to feed and clean him as I did that Victoria handed me the baby girl I kissed her

Lillian- Ayla Louis

I started to feed her as mum put Adrien into his cot. I smiled I thought about how they are finally here and remember the time I found out I was pregnant with them I thought about how Dylan would have been ecstatic and he would have failed in the delivery room as tears threatened to fall I wiped my eyes as I finished feeding Ayla I put her into her cot and lay down. My parents and Victoria went home as Nate stayed.

Nate - it's so crazy how much life changes
Victoria- I know
Nate- he would have been so proud
Victoria- I know, you know during the emergency I was alert but it felt hazy I saw Dylan and he told me how I did and how he loves me
Nate - he's yours and your children's guardian angel

I smiled as I saw Nate smiling his eyes were watering I pat his shoulder as I gave a gentle squeeze even if there weren't together for so long their love for each other was strong. Nate moves over to the bed set for relatives staying over as I laid down as I started getting tired I fell asleep feeling a tingle around my body I felt a comfort of a hug as I closed my eyes.
