Alright, so, lemme cut to the chase. I'm gonna have to write like one or two What if chapters without making any normal chapters where Y/N is a human. Why? I see you comment. This is because of the differences in the plot of Ghoul and non-Ghoul Y/N.
Ghoul Y/N can logically be there during the raid of Kanou's lab arc. Meanwhile, you got human Y/N. While he is partnered with Kaneki, there's no way in hell Kaneki would allow Y/N to join in the raid as the chances of him dying is extremely high since he's a human.
Meanwhile Ghoul Y/N is, well, a Ghoul. Part one at least. This will allow him to join and not have such a high chance of dying. Plus he can easily follow Kaneki and join in that way. I just wanted to let you all know so I don't get any comments confused on what I'm doing with this story.
