A/N: To make things clear, the chapter name is a short form — I'm too lazy to spell out Revelations and Relations in the short amount of chapter name space XD
It's called as such because some characters' relations are examined here and revelations would be yours once you've finished this chapter. As per Cord905loverStuff's request, the second half of this chapter will be explaining the truth about what happened with Maleficent. I really enjoyed writing it, and imma be honest to say that I actually finished the whole Maleficent portion within an hour, which is incredible speed considering that it's — hol' on lemme go check — 2000 words, which is like, 1/3 of this chapter. This chapter itself is literally 6k+ words, so I hope y'all don't fall asleep. As I've previously mentioned, my new aim is for chapter word counts to be between 3k to 5k at a time so that y'all won't be bored by only 1k chapters (although yes, if you've read between the lines this is indeed an excuse for me to update slower sowwy 🥺🥺🥺)
But anyway, please enjoy the chapter! <3

"Now you two are acting the part. Well, I'm glad. But also, Audrey, Chad's threatening to back out if you two don't get your scenes together."
Mal and Audrey had finally lived up to the part of Helena and Hermia being good friends. And in a way, Evie was glad.
But also, Ben was starting to hound her for ideas on how to help his relationship with Mal, and Evie could not quite bring herself to answer him, resulting in Ben always leaving rather dejectedly.
Now that Mal and Audrey were friends, she supposed that the grudges should long have been over. But Mal seemed to make no effort to approach Ben again, and Evie finally decided to do something about it.
"We need to talk. Seriously." She yanked Mal out of the corridor and into an empty art gallery, checking to make sure that no one would be intruding before she folded her arms, "What's going on between you and Ben?" "I've told you before, we're on a break." Mal answered, her smile beginning to freeze at the edges, "Does that matter?" "Well, for one, you're Helena, and he's Demetrius. One of the main couples." Evie tapped her feet on the parquet twice, the heels acting as a pivot, "Hmm?"
"Hmm." Mal mimicked the taps, "He's got his cliche love lines, I've got my sappy lines, that's it." "You cannot be serious." Evie resisted the urge to slap Mal across the chest, "What happened to convincing your mother to give him a place beside hers and hers throne? What happened to fighting with people over him?" "I always fight with people." Mal answered calmly, "As for the throne...It does seem extra wicked, doesn't it, using the former crown prince as an ottoman after he's lost all his status? Like a pet?"
She forced herself to smile, despite the sick nature of her words. Evie most certainly seemed horrified that she had said such a thing, and inside, despite knowing that her mother would have been proud, Mal felt her insides twist in repulsion from the thought.
He's a human, Mal. Living, breathing, thinking, smiling.
How could you possibly think of such a humiliation?
A humiliation far worse than death?
"Why are you even mad at him?" Evie was desperate now; her nails left red marks in Mal's pale skin as she dug the trimmed keratin into the snowy complexion, "Mal, this isn't you. This isn't the girl who refused to answer me when I asked if she had fallen for the person she was manipulating. This isn't you anymore, M-"
One moment, she was holding Mal's arms, with Mal touching her elbows in return, and the next, she was slumped against the wall, a stiff agony running down her body, her lungs screaming for the air that had been rudely snatched from her.
